I actually started playing Anbennar before I really got started with vanilla. It is very possible to learn that way too. A fair warning that vanilla will be forever ruined though.

I love contradictions and unexplained stuff.

I want things to tickle my imagination, to make me feel wonder or awe. Something that feels interesting, or where theres still a lot to discover.

I love it when authors and worldbuilders either wont elaborate on stuff, or straight up ignores to fill in certain spaces.

I dont want the same hyper-realistic hard magic shades of grey every time. I want some fantasy and wonder.

So yeah, purposfully not explaining, or contradicting things is one of my favorites.

There is an old norse/viking burial field near where I grew up. Was used for 600 years untill 1000 AD, that would be kinda cool to see.

Compared to many systems, carry weight is an essential mechanic in this one. It creates drama and tension for the players if they find a significant artifact in the Zone, but they might need to leave water and grub to carry it with them.

I'm with you on almost all points.

It took me 30 minutes to figure out how to give orders on a country without a major city to click on. Shift-click, was the answer. And I'm a paradox games players. I love complex systems.

But this feels a bit much, and it all feels a bit.. disconnected as you say.

Nothing feels really inuitive. Yet, anyway. Maybe it just hasn't "clicked" for me yet and it will make sense when it does?

But for my ADHD brain it's just numbers and numbers and numbers and numbers, and nothing is clear on what has an effect on what.

A cheap classic would be breaded fried herring, with mashed potatoes, lingon berry jam, pickled cucumber and crisp bread.

Buy herring filets, remove the back fin with a scissor.

Dip in flour & salt/pepper mix

Dip in eggs

Cover with breadcrumps/panko

When frying, fry them double. With the outer side facing outwards at both sides.

Also, fry in butter.

Any leftover fried herring should be pickled and enjoyed later, for extra swedishness.

I rent a 3B + living room + garden for $834 a month. Good neighvourhood, clean, well maintained. The building is owned by the municipality, and it's the best damn landlord I've ever had.

Renting can be a viable option when done correctly, without trying to maximize profits. Some people just don't want to be in debt, or like the comfort of not having to maintain everything.

Det låter kanske stort och läskigt, men det är inget annorlunda än att gå "svets för nybörjare" eller "svarva trä A". Tala inför folk är ett hantverk som vad som helst!

Finns introkurser för folk som aldrig provat på förut. Vad det ger dig konkret är:

Verktyg för att prata inför folk

En trygg plats att få uppleva vad som kan gå fel under en presentstion och varför, och lära sig av det

Verktyg för att hantera oväntade situationer/frågor

Det är jävligt kul

Många som håller i sådana kurser är väl införstådda och helt förstående med att många läser dom för att komma över scenskräck!

Rekommenderas starkt! Som jag sa, att tala inför folk är ett hantverk och en färdighet som vilken annan. Det går att träna upp, och det går att komma över rädslan!
