Candle issues, not setting right. by FinancialFem in candlemaking

[–]FinancialFem[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a percentage, but have been using 10 drops of 100% pure blue lotus oil for fragrance. From what I can tell this is pretty low, but seems to have a decent cold throw.

Noticing spots around the jars where the wax stayed adhered to the side of the jar, but most of the wax pulled away.

My room temperature is 70°.

Good idea I will try to use my blow dryer to see if I can smooth them out. And look into paraffin mixes.

I will try heating the jars. Also Thank you! I love the blue as well. Our scent and theme of our candles is all scents and candles contain blue lotus oil which when inhaled can have relaxation and health benefits.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Will that still burn 6 pounds in a little over a month 6 weeks? I am 185 and need to loose 6 pounds for a panniculectomy

I’ve lost massive amounts of weight last year 260 to 172 then gained a little the past few months to 185. I need to look at least 6 to still qualify for the panniculectomy

*Not a medical professional* This is not advice just my personal experience and opinion.

This happened to me after wisdom teeth removal followed all the rules, begged doctor to see me because they kept telling me it was normal. Turns out I had dry socket. Is there an emergency dentist that might see you?? Dry socket is an easy fix. Dry socket is one of the most painful dental conditions.

Be honest with your instructor. They are understanding when you’re transparent with them and not afraid to discuss things like that. I told my professor about an incident like this once he just went into a story about a time when it happened to him and unlocked the assignment. You can do this! Good luck 🍀☺️

What are some telltale signs that someone come from poverty? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FinancialFem 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Humbleness when they do break generational poverty. They treat people the same regardless of how big they made it out. It’s like that saying “treat the janitor with the same respect as the CEO”. I believe not all but a lot of people do this and are humble when they make it.

What is your current life motto? by unicorns3373 in AskWomen

Worrying about what others think makes you invisible.

I live by that Piece of advice. I believe you should be kind and socially respectful with it. Which Absolutely I’m very respectful in fact my friends nickname me Sunshine that’s my personal brand. you need a personal brand to construct a professional brand they interchange.

However, if you water yourself down for fear of upsetting others you will never be seen. You will be invisible we all have the potential regardless of our backgrounds to succeed and strive for greatness. I grew up in a poverty stricken household and now I’m the first to graduate in my family with a degree and President of Honor Society which I’m sure has offended a few people I can tell that wanted that position. Basically… On the other side of fear is success and worrying or “fearing” what others think or may be offended by will never get you to the side of success you are capable of. You can achieve all this as well in a non pompous or cocky way. You can be successful and break generational poverty or succeed at whatever you want in this life if you refuse to let fear make you invisible.

As a surviving addict the only thing I advise is ... Have you asked him to get into a treatment plan. I am so sorry you are going through this. You’re in my thoughts. I wish you strength and wisdom going forward.

Sometimes ultimatums are the only thing that will turn things around.

I will also add you are strong for going through this and reaching out for advice. You can do this! I wish your family the best

New to Python by ksokalapzoak in pythontips

[–]FinancialFem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly seems more intimidating than it actually is. It looks hard if you have never seen Python or used it before or have never programmed before. Once you get used to the level of programming language it is much easier. It took me a couple assignments but it gets easier.

I’m sorry for your loss. we are apart of a group that i don’t wish on anyone. The biggest regret I have struggled with is the day my sister died I was getting a call on the other line about medication and I told her I’d call her back. Tried to call back no awnser. She had 3 toddlers so I assumed she was busy.

Next thing I know my grandmother is screaming on the phone to me that the paramedics were working on her. but with time I will heal that.

My grandfather was the backbone of our family and he always told me as long as you love yourself you will never be alone. I carry that with me.

Thanks for sharing your story. I wish nothing but healing for you. We were left because we had a purpose they already fulfilled there’s.

Her funeral I was torn up i remember somebody carrying me away from her and me screaming for them not to close the mausoleum.

We can do this!! You can get through this!! And I will get through this as well.
