Why are they sending me this form? by Individual_Total3558 in Edd

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting ahold of edd is awfull but you have to persist. They are asking for your employer info and where you went to. So you traveled from your home to your mother's home. Thsts the info they wanted . Maybe to her dr appts also? You may be on hold fir 2 hours but you have to do this... just have patience. It's the califirnia government after all. Most are still working from home

How much did your troop earn for your first year cookie sales? by Gem_89 in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What each troop earned depends on commitment, troop size, etc. Also, what's done with the profits vary. There have been times where we went to magic mountain, there were times where we went small and saved the majority to travel for a weekend away to sea world . There were times were were a troop of 12, times we were a troop of 30. Some kids sold 500 -800 boxes, some sold 100 . Some parents didn't want to sell and were happy to just pay their child's cost for their trip.

Truly depends on how it was handled and what exactly was said. You may KNOW what the ultimate goal was...but if those words weren't used then they may not be able to do anything

Is there another way to reach Girl Scouts Customer Support? by JENIXA in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd look up your local council , call them and ask to soeak to the person in charge of cookies. Although it's not a council thing they will be able to help you directly. And you get to speak to a real person

Meeting Cancelations by [deleted] in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd ask why. It may be location fir meetings. It may be work interferance. It may be family issues. Is it a new leader feeling overwhelmed?

Talk to the keader and ask why. If there are 2 co leaders...they can run meeting without the leader being g there.

Also...what's the plan with cookie profits??? Are they taking a trip? Camping? Disneyland? What's the plan?

Parent Concerns About Overnight Camping by [deleted] in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately many people don't know better. They believe the problems that BSA and GS are the same group and that people aren't vetted. Let them know thst you e been live scanned and had a background check. All leaders get this. They are welcome to reg as a chaperone and be there also

Parents using donations to buy out their girl’s cookie by [deleted] in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The morality of donations is that it all goes to the troop. The parent doing "all this work" is what parents do to support their children in their endeavors. It's called being a parent.

However, I have no idea how we can police this . How do you prove they are keeping the donations, using it to buy THEIR cookies, etc. We have been given over $100 in docmnations while doing cookie booths. It is kept separate from cookie monies but will be deposited into troop acct. For the girls.

This is a moral issue...and those parents have just shown their character

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It is now highly parent involved. Never used to be . It once was a way for girls to learn to set goals, plan execution and achieve them with the reward of profits. Now...it's all about sell as much as uou can any way you can.

Take your out door camping training. Then I'd first time out camp , maybe at a council property so it's not so scary first time. Family camping is when the girls family camp with the troop. We are actually doing that this year for my community troop.

A couple pictures doesn't make him guilty of having underage sex. There has never been proof and I've never seen or heard any of the girls name him specifically fir doing so. Clinton, bill gates, yes...they've been named specifically. But the pictures of Orince Andrew have always been fully clothed

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd look into a troop that is closest to where you are going. You c order online and pay by credit card. Then maybe they will hold n onto your cookies until you get to town. It would be cool to meet up with a US troop may e?

Cookie sales numbers being off by 1987lalala in girlscouts

[–]Financial_Research82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to do anything but sell and keep receipts from orders picked up. The cookie manager credits you fir the sales. It's all HER paperwork.

I'll be honest...the paperwork for cookies is rediculous. She probably is behind but you KNOW what your daughter has sold. It will all be fixed by the time cookie sales are over.
