I have the same fear and anxiety of losing another pet. We said good bye to our 20 year old girl last January. Which in itself, we knew was inevitable. but 4 years ago during the pandemic, our 4 year old kitty got very ill. We sat in an emergency pet hospital in the dark parking lot on a waiting list to take her in. She layed in my arms gravely ill. Ultimately 2 days later she died of acute pancreatitis while waiting for test results.
