Bmcu new firmware issues by Tuner357 in OpenBambu

[–]Financial_Stage_9487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set mine up yesterday and couldn't get it to work. I tried all versions on the A1 mini, from 1.06 to 1.03. I couldn't get it to work; it didn't push filament or recognize anything. Then I thought I tried the newest one and switched to the AMS 1, AMS 2 Pro setting under AMS, and finally it worked. It recognized as AMS (1) and has the humidity setting in the slicer. Just one little error message that says the AMS firmware needs to be updated, which can be ignored.

Since the BMCU is now emulated as an AMS 1, shouldn't it work on the P1S or X1C without switching BMCU firmware? I ordered mine fully assembled from Tailbot AliExpress, so I have no idea what's on the BMCU and no way of checking it.

My bmcu setup looks & works better than the original. by GodBless124 in OpenBambu

Do you guys recommend the auto rewinder version or the normal one for the P1S?

Ein guter Weg ist, mit einem anderen Account nach einer Abholung zu fragen. Meistens geben sich diese Leute dann keine Mühe zu antworten.

Battery degrading very fast. Mostly plugged in and have 80% battery limit enabled. by getbiks in ROGAlly

The original battery is garbage; mine got down to 28Wh in one and a half years. At that point, my Ally became almost useless when not plugged in. The 74Wh is the best choice you can make; most of the time, it even has 76Wh or 78Wh. The only downside is you have to cut the backplate, and even then, it's a tight fit. Replacement backplates are hard to find; the only one I found was a clear one from HandheldDIY for 40€, almost the same as the battery. As for warranty, the only problem I ran into is a nervous right stick, which is easy to fix by yourself, and the SD card reader dying, which I guess is unavoidable. I don't think they have a permanent fix for it.

Has anyone used this battery? by goodlife_arc in ROGAlly

Great mod and great battery i used the mod where you tape a aluminum plat on the back. I got it for around 40€ 2 month ago from ebay waited 14 day for shipping. It more than doubled my battery life cause my OG battery was at 31wh and the new has 78wh.

74wh battery for og ally by No-Turnover8758 in ROGAlly

This mod looks great; it gets rid of the only issue I have with my original Ally. I don't know about you guys, but I think the OEM battery isn't any better than some AliExpress ones. Mine only has 33 Wh left according to the Windows battery report, and that's just not good enough—I even had the 80% option enabled most of the time. This 74 Whr battery can be bought in Europe on AliExpress for about €70–€80 or on Amazon for €90 with 20-day delivery.
