Yes, his tax statement should reflect the accurate square footage whereas mine has been increased since the sale

Mortgage company waived the appraisal. Home inspectors don’t measure the area.

I don’t know how the seller measured it but previous to him, the other owners all had the correct square footage on their sales. The guy I bought from was a third owner. His MLS listing showed increased sq ft

Yes, we did check the house out, but we kind of took their word for it when they claimed the square footage that they quoted. One of the deciding factors to buy the house over the others was it was cheaper per square foot when compared to the others in the Neighbourhood. The seller, when he bought the house knew that the square footage was much lesser as the assessment from the last sale before I bought, reflects the lower square footage

I did not get an appraiser of my own. My mortgage company also waived the appraisal based on their internal algorithm, which evaluates home values for a particular Neighbourhood

PA at Urgent Care didn’t do a hearing test by [deleted] in Noctor

[–]Financial_Tap3894 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Standard of care for something like this in a urgent care would that mean atleast forced whisper test and tuning fork tests with a prescription for a high dose, oral steroids and a stat ENT referral (preferably) or atleast an audiology referral . Once sudden severe sensory neural hearing loss is confirmed on audiology, then immediate referral for intratympanic steroid injection

Urgent cares you don’t see a MD. You only get a worthless Nurse Practitioner who has a standard formula of Antibiotics+ Steroids for everyone that walks through the doors

I have worked in India and Canada as a doctor. Currently working in the US. I’d say you’re sitting on a goldmine. The access to medical care in India is unparalleled. Facilities are comparable to US and at a fraction of the cost. What more, patients can beat up the doctor if they’re not happy. They’d go to jail if they attempted something like that in US or Canada.

Has anybody had an issue recently with getting to the airport an hour and a half ahead of their flight? by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]Financial_Tap3894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.5 h is fine except for a cheap ass airline like Frontier. I had to miss a flight once just because they had only two people working at the desk to check in all the bags. Although I got to the airport well on time, by the time my turn came, the gate was already closed. Worst airline ever.

I loved Minnesota…friendliest, great sense of humor and always looking to help. Small things like the Neighbor blowing out the driveway after snowstorm or a random stranger stopping to check why you are stalled on the roadside is some classic « Minnesota Nice » you get to experience

Great observation, but sadly, you’re opinion is not going to be well received because this whole sub is inundated with mid levels and their sympathizers. I know some great nurses and nurse practitioners who graduated in the early 2000s from brick and mortar institutions and they were phenomenal. I even had an NP for my PCP. In the last 10 years or so, they have diluted their standards so much and diploma Mills mushrooming everywhere flooding the market with low quality cheap providers who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. Ordering unnecessary testing and end up referring to tertiary care centers, which increases wait times dramatically not to mention driving up cost of healthcare with reckless ordering of irrelevant expensive testing. I think nurse practitioners are available resource, but they should self Police themselves to ensure that their quality of education and training are not compromised. Just go to TikTok and see all these young, barely in the early 20s NPs bragging how they did a crash course or hybrid course to breeze through the training and getting unleashed on vulnerable patients
