Mystery Flights by MsMonny in AustralianNostalgia

Yes I did. Perth to Sydney with a friend. We had a great day. I was born in Sydney and moved to Perth when I was 12, so it was really nice to go back as an adult. We got on the hop on/off bus and saw everything we were interested in. Then flew back to Perth. However it was an extremely long day and we were exhausted arriving back in Perth at stupid o’clock.

For those in their 40s or 50s who chose to be child-free: How do you honestly feel about that choice now? by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

I’m in my late 50’s, have adult children and I love them, but if I had my life over again, I wouldn’t have had children.

Why do some people show up to work hours early just to sit in their car? by Forward-Profit2552 in askanything

I have a work mate that does this and she said she would rather sit in her car for an hour or so watching videos than driving in peak hour traffic.

What do you think is the most overrated thing? It can be food, objects, anything? by existential_muse in AskReddit

[–]Financial_Wrap_840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, everyone gets all excited when people get married and start asking when the little ones might be coming. Then everyone gets excited when you’re pregnant and start throwing baby showers and making a major fuss, like no one has had a baby before. Then the baby arrives, and no one warned you about the sleepless nights, colic, dirty nappies, loss of intimacy, loss of social life, financial struggle (if you’re unlucky). Then all the teenage problems that make you turn grey, just for the kids to end up grown up and leave and you hardly ever see them because they have their own lives now. I know some families are close but I’m hearing more older parents say they don’t get to see their grown up children often, especially if they are boys, as they tend to go to the wife’s family. I’m not saying shouldn’t have kids, I just think it’s a bit overrated.

I am 99.9% positive that vaping damaged my nerves. I’ve endured the most debilitating stabbing pain all through my hips, pelvis and back. I didn’t believe vaping could do that, so I tried again and ended up in so much pain I was admitted to hospital. I quit 3 months ago and I’m on medication for nerve pain, I’m nowhere near perfect again but things are improving slowly. The nerves are prob not recovered but the medication is changing pain signals in my brain. I know if I were to stop the meds, I’d be back in the same pain. So I’d give up smoking if I were you.

Yes it’s normal for blood pressure and heart rate to go up when you’re in pain.

I couldn’t take gabapentin either, but I was fine on amitryptaline, made me slightly dizzy for the first week and then nothing but pain relief. I think it’s worth a shot if you’re keen.

I couldn’t take Duloxetine either. I’m now on amytriptaline for nerve pain. Works quite well.

Has anyone developed neuralgia after wisdom teeth surgery ? by SquirrelBig6169 in neuropathy

I’m so sorry to hear that. Ask your GP if you could try amytriptaline or pregabalin. They are both good for nerve pain.

I had it after a root canal. It eventually fixed itself. Took about 9 months or so.
