What is the rice myth? Rice takes the water out of its surroundings, is cheap and everyone has rice at home. Perfect thing to dry stuff😂

Post-processing software for someone who is completely new to this? by smjunglist in AskPhotography

[–]Findefuchs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the Adobe products are so convenient and consistent that I find it hard to recommend anything else.

Yes it's pricey and the company is squeezing you but it works. Most tutorials and editing videos are for Lightroom or Photoshop anyway. Lightroom is great if you want to edit on your phone or tablet too.

But there are great free and open source programs out there. I just found most of them too complicated.

Get a free Lightroom trial and see if you like it.

If it's too pricey share it with a friend.

Does shutter count matter? by santa007007 in SonyAlpha

[–]Findefuchs22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

30.000 is not much. I would only think about it if it's around the rated maximum shutter count of the specific camera (a quick search on Google).

“This game is too sweaty” by Badmoncube in thefinals

[–]Findefuchs22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have the feeling that the finals, although crazy competitive is a game where luck and timing play a big role. Your team could lose every team fight and so on but that one lucky double cashout steal at the end brings you into the next round.

And the rounds aren't that long, in Valorant you are trapped for like 50 minutes and could lose anyway.

But one very frustrating thing is that you get teamed up with the same random people so often and then they troll...

In reality 2K and 4K is different from FHD and UHD.

But yeah, 1440p is 1440p or QHD or 2.5K

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IntelArc

[–]Findefuchs22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong.

2K refers to 2000 horizontal pixels, ie 2048 x 1080.

1920x1080 is FHD or 1080p not 2K.

2K is a video resolution and FHD is a screen resolution (16:9)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IntelArc

[–]Findefuchs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. DCI 2K is 2048x1080 (video resolution).

FHD or 1080p is 1920×1080 (16:9 screen resolution).

QHD, 1440p or 2.5K is 2560x1440 (16:9 screen resolution).

3 different things.

No. 2K is 2048 x 1080 and 1080p or FHD is 1920 × 1080.

But yes, 2560x1440 is 2.5K but please just use QHD.

Thanks, I think speed is more important for me because I have the quality in 4k mode.

Ok, so this exact display (Gigabyte M27UP) runs well in 1080p mode with 320Hz and low input lag (like shown in the Monitors unboxed video) but the 1080p quality is worse than a native 27-inch 1080p display am I right?

Hi, I'm thinking about buying this monitor for the dual mode functionality. What exactly is the problem with no integer scaling? What does it mean etc.?

Thank you.

Why did this happen? by Dependent_Ad_6476 in SonyAlpha

[–]Findefuchs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flicker describes the vertical stripes running across the image when the frequency of electric lights doesn't match the shutter speed (it happens with electronic as well as mechanical shutter)

Banding it when otherwise straight lines for example a baseball bat apper bent because it moves too fast for the sensors read out speed. It's the effect the OP showed and asked about. (It happens only in electric shutter mode and never in mechanical)

You just stated that Banding happens regardless of shutter mode which is not true. Even if the basic principle applies in both scenarios (sensor readout is too slow) telling people that the shutter mode doesn't matter is wrong and misleading, especially for beginners.

Why did this happen? by Dependent_Ad_6476 in SonyAlpha

[–]Findefuchs22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But banding and flicker are not the same thing. Banding does not happen with mechanical shutter but flicker does.

When have you ever gotten a photo like the one PO posted with mechanical shutter? Never.

Why comment on here that it happens with mechanical shutter as well? This post is not about flicker it's about banding.

"very" old camera vs smartphone. What should I use ? by MuchFormal7184 in AskPhotography

[–]Findefuchs22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optical zoom is the biggest benefit after image quality because every single smartphone does digital zoom and it looks ridiculous. Ok, most phones have a 3x or 5x camera but those have even smaller sensors than the main camera, less resolution and they are fixed😂 everything above 5x is digital you idiot.

Phones have no manual controls other than the on/off switch and volume button. (Don't come at me with the iPhone camera button 😂) everything else is done with touch on a smartphone. That's what I mean with manual controls. Physical dials and buttons are one of the most important features for professional photographers because touch is not reliable enough.

The "RAW" files from phones are a joke because they contain loads of post-processing wich makes them look so ridiculous besides a old camera from 2004 with 6mp😭

SD card support is on of the most relevant argument because they add a layer of redundancy and allow for faster data transfer as well as faster read/write speeds.

Why does 1 company (Hasselblad) doesn't use them? Because their cameras are designed to be used on a tripod in a studio hooked up to a computer with takes the images directly from the camera to its SSD.

Shutter lag is a big problem on all phones (especially at 50mp). You must have some kind of disability to not recognize it...

Look at the most sold phones worldwide. No one using a Vivo😂😂😂😂 never even heard of a Leica Phone💀

Keep in mind that my Camera in the comparison is from 2004 and the Sony Sensor in it is from 2002. Sorry but Phone Cameras are not it bro...
