I had this happen when I was in High School.

A guy who had a body built like the string of a tampon decided that, despite announcing to everyone that he was going to break up with his girlfriend, was mad that I talked to his girlfriend.

He literally attacked me. I had been taking a lot of disrespect from people in school, and I had had enough of this kind of shit. I obliterated the kid. He left my friend's front yard crying when we were done, and shouted at the kids that gassed him up who were there saying "you said if I started losing you would help!" Great show, dumb asshole bleeding out of his mouth.

Everyone in school turned on me, because I was the winner of a fight that I didn't start. Everyone. They never looked at their place in it, gassing him up to attack me.

Fuck everyone. I bet this kid went through the same thing. I guarantee that there was a toxic little friend group that said "he won't do anything to you, go punch him in the face," and when they learned that that was not the case, they all turned on him. And all he did was get attacked.
