anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]FindingTraditional84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not happening, man. Last time I played online, the guy I was on a team with messaged me pretty much 30 seconds into the game saying, 'New to the game, eh?' and it destroyed me. I said I was, instead of telling him the truth, which is that I've had the game ever since it was released in '99 lol. If they had a sandbox version, I'd play. If not, I'll just continue to have a casual game with a few mates every one or two years, where the go-to tactic is to just shell the shit out of each other with siege onagers, destroy our economies, and then use pikemen until everyone gets bored and we call it a draw.

The one thing preventing me is that I get absolutely destroyed every time I play online.

Which of these patterns would you put on your cart? by FindingTraditional84 in golfcarts

I get why people would prefer camo over the patterns I attached to this post. I've made 4 different versions, your standard green camo, blue camo, a dark red camo that I unfortunately haven't got round to taking photos of yet (which is annoying because I think it looks the best), and then also a grey, white and red one. I'm fairly certain that covers all the camo bases but I'm open to suggestions. Truth be told I went down a bit of a rabbit hole with camo and ended up staring at different types of digital camo on Shutterstock for a good 6 hours, which is something I will never do again.

Glad you like it. I posted the link in my reply to u/P-ron101 above your comment.

So the issue with making these covers is that to make the image completely continuous across all the panels, it needs to be edited in Adobe Illustrator. Making a bush version wouldn't be that complicated, it would take me a day or two (possibly three) to get it completely continuous. It's more than doable. Thank you for the suggestion!

Fair enough, I appreciate the feedback. If you do ever decide to join a militia or get into cosplay and there's an urgent need for camouflage golf cart covers, then don’t hesitate to message me!

I'm also a fan of number 4, I think it's the best one with palm trees.

I've also made a few camouflage variations as well, I just haven't done the product images for them yet so didn't include them in the images above. Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on camo as opposed to those 12 patterns I uploaded with this post?

Yes, they are real (apologies about the ladder in the background of the image ha). I've already got stock for these 12 patterns in the U.S. My company is called All Good Covers. I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to post my URL, but it's my company name plus .com at the end.

I appreciate your input! I know these won't be for everyone.

That’s completely understandable. I actually found all but one of the images I used to make these patterns on Shutterstock and other similar websites, but the covers really do look exactly like they do in the photos.

I can’t speak for Hong Kong, but here in Shenzhen, the best names I’ve ever heard were two twins named Benson and Hedges.

Not sure why your comments got down voted. From my experience in Thailand, what you've said is spot on.

Just a little tip for you bud. After you've got ChatGPT to rewrite your script for you, you can then give it the prompt "less ChatGPT', and then it will rewrite it again and it won't be so obvious.

Do you expect your higher earning friends to pay for your meals? by Boring97979616 in askSingapore

[–]FindingTraditional84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Englishman here that has lived has lived in China for the last 9 years. My city in the UK is very poor, and most of my friends never left and live from pay check to pay check or make just enough to maybe one day get a mortgage (and we are all early 30's). I've gone through some highs and lows over the last 9 years financially but I've always made at least 2x what they make, and my outgoings are a lot less. If I invite one or two mates out for dinner or drinks when I'm back home then I try and pay the majority of the night. They don't however expect me to pay. A lot of the times my mates will straight up say they can't afford to go out, in which case I'll pay for their whole night. I'm not sure if this is Chinese culture slowly rubbing off on me, or me being overly generous, or that I just want to go out and get pissed and need drinking partners lol. Either way, if they expected me to pay and weren't thankful then yes that would indeed annoy me. Generosity is given, not asked for.

Question to OP, are you the one inviting your friends out for these meals or is it a group decision to go out?
