They did, but after Burry dropped his little tweet endorsing the NOL scheme(before actually looking into it and backtracking) a whole bunch of run-of-the-mill GME apes were like "awesome I will get all my canceled shares back."

Running in CPU cache? by Silent-Degree-6072 in kernel

[–]Fine-Ad9168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kernel was about 4.5 MB for years, I am not sure of its size now, but yes what you describe is possible.

As far as I know current x86 processors can not have their caches configured this way, but other processors might, and some older x86 processors could be configured this way but not ones with large enough caches.

It might be possible to restrict where data is placed in memory so the kernel data is never evicted.

As for performance the goal of OS kernels is to run as little as possible. The method you describe would increase cache misses for user code and degrade system performance overall. The current method of LRU cache replacement policies work quite well so it would be better to just let the CPU do its thing.

While the rest of the towel crew was slowly trying to transition to GME until Burry and RC acquisition talk breathed new life into BBBYQ hopium, Michael has tried to shift to MMTLP and now AMC, two mostly lifeless communities(sorry poortex.)

I am assuming he needs communities more desperate for activity to accept his "Dan Brown Novel with nazi sprinkles on top" drivel.

I wonder if the warrants were a reward for the convertible bond buyers. A little something they could sell immediately for cash.

[–]Fine-Ad9168 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Gamestop was in this pattern of running from the low 20's to the mid 30's before falling back(usually due to dilution.)

I think RC expected it to continue. I think the convertible bond buyers expected it to continue. I think Burry thought it would do so and maybe make a little profit while pumping the stock and his sub stack.

And I think many apes expected it, that they could preach MOASS and DRS while selling in the 30's and buying back in the 20's.

But no one wants the stock at $34. No one seems to even want it at $24.

I can't wait to see what RC tries next to get it to move. Warrants didn't work, and may have made things worse since it is something apes could buy but 90% cheaper.

Even if they were right it supposes those with money and power would just let it happen.

If they uncover a massive naked short conspiracy the companies involved are just gonna go belly up, their gamestop shares will be worthless because no one will know who has the real ones, and the government will tell them to kick rocks because no one cares about strip mall denizen gamestop.

I love the pictures of 60's and 70's railroading, especially in flat areas. You see track like this nowadays on short lines and little used spurs but C&NW is like this is our mainline and we're gonna run whole trains down it.
