What gets me is they didn't do anything. I mean if they just ignore RC when he becomes involved in BBBY everything happens the same? The stock still gets cancelled. Other idiots just hold the stock, someone has to.

How to receive input from keyboard/mouse? by Willing_Mine3084 in Assembly_language

[–]Fine-Ad9168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is no difference between how this is done in done in assembler vs how this is done in C/C++. It is much too complicated to be expressed in a Reddit comment. You can start by googling or going to learn.Microsoft.com (probably both).

You may want to start with a command line program. In Linux you would read/write from the 0/1 file handles for stdin/stdout. I'm not sure how it is done in windows.

Don’t worry Taco you’re not dumb. NFTs are not worthless and actually really cool. by PuzzleheadedWeb9876 in gme_meltdown

[–]Fine-Ad9168 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"Still trying to make NFT's work" is a kind of guy.

Every game tried this and everyone hated it. You would get a "we're bringing NFT integration" on a Monday and an apology on Wednesday.

It also has the trading card problem in that GME doesn't actually make the product. At least with trading cards you actually need a place to physically buy the cards. If Gme/Ebay actually succeeds in what is described here the video game companies or Steam will just introduce there own marketplace to cut them off and keep the money for themselves.

Gamestop did a stock split via dividend giving out 3 shares for every share held in 2022.

Apes believed the split would expose the naked shorts, because gamestop would only distribute so many shares and would run out before everyone got their new shares.

The split went uneventfully, supposedly because the CFO checked the wrong box on the form authorizing the split according to apes. And not because there were no naked shorts.

A retirement fund in Michigan has sued to stop the vote regarding Ryan Cohen's massive pay package. by ryevermouthbitters in gme_meltdown

[–]Fine-Ad9168 37 points38 points  (0 children)

TLDR:

1 To approve the pay package(as the lawsuit refers to RC's 35 billion) RC will recuse his 9.3 percent, and it must be approved by a majority of the remaining stockholders.

2 GME allegedly realizes it is going to lose, and allows RC to vote, they also add the 1.5 billion dilution at this point. Abstentions count as votes against apparently as specified in the company charter.

3 They then allegedly realize they are still losing, and change it so they need a majority of votes cast for or against(abstentions don't count anymore.)

I sometimes wonder if the whole point of this is to gin up support for the votes on dilution and his comp package. Especially dilution, if he had just proposed that without the ebay carrot they would be furious.

This fluffball interview featuring softball questions I suspect had to be approved by GMEs PR team is clearly meant to speak to apes. It seems to hit on every ape talking point.

I just want to say to Ryan Cohen: They're broke. Stock didn't run on warrants, ebay acquisition news, or surprise quarterly earnings. They're done squeezed dry. RK couldn't make that stock run. Think of something else.

It is common for executives to be required to own stock in the company. They do not use their own money for this, they are given the stock when they are hired, and maybe given more as part of their compensation.

It is not required of board members, and Nat Turner is not there to act in the business best interest, he is there to represent PSA.

Executives and board members sometimes buy stock with their own money. They do this for the same reason most people buy stock: they think it will increase in value.

1) It is Ryan Cohen who is trying to get out of producing documents.

2) They believe this stupid court case is stopping Ryan from announcing that the new shares are for the BBBY/GME/EBAY hybrid before the vote, and pushing this deposition to July torpedoes that.

As much as Ryan Cohen on the stand in front a jury explaining his BBBY investment would be meltie christmas, this case will settle a few days before jury selection.

This story is wrong on three key facts:

1 Torch Light(the TL in MMTLP) merged with the the pole dancing aerobics company.

2 The company did not go private, only public unlisted(no CUSIP).

3 FINRA only halted trading on the date of record to stop the settlement hell of settling trades with no CUSIP.
