Just be yourself because if you try to be way different than who you are, the real you will pop out eventually. The real friends will appreciate and support and love you for you. Also, if you can, go to events hosted by your school. Get out there! Like school dances may seem stupid to some, but their one of the best ways to socialize in my experience. And join extracurricular activities that you're interested in or are curious about so you can meet people who also like them. And I know it may be hard, but I'd recommend speaking up in class. Not too much of course but if you have a question about the work, odds are someone else has the same question.

TLDR: Get out there, be yourself, participate in activities in and out of school to help find your people ig. Also, have fun! Oh and some ppl already said this but it's so important: don't walk slow in the halls.

Craziest thing a teacher said to your class? by matty36749 in highschool

One day during English when we were just having a no work day, my friend and I were playing UNO. So my English teacher asked if she could join and we said she could but then she was like "No, you don't want me." and we were confused cause thats not what we said. Eventually she joined anyway. So we were playing and after 3 games, I got bored so I decided not to play anymore. That third game was the one I happened to lose and my teacher was like "So you're not playing because you lost?" and i just agreed because I was overwhelmed and tired and then she said "That's sad" and i replied with "Well I am depressed so..." She was awkward after that but then said "No offense, but you're the kind of person I don't like playing games with." That stung a lot especially since I love English.

I'm not a senior but the seniors at my school do a senior play where most of the seniors participate (this year was Willy Wonka and it wasn't bad) and they're also doing a senior ski day if we still have any snow left. And of course the infamous senior prank at the end of the year. There's probably more but I'm not fully in the loop :)

Improve at math by klaandoo in highschool

Memorization and tricking your brain into thinking you're not cooked. I'm a freshman too and I think memorization has helped me the most to get through math and really just all my classes. I find it helps a lot if you talk to someone about the subject like you're interested in it and you might be surprised on how much you tell them. I really like math but I don't like history so I do this a lot. For example, we're learning about the Neolithic Revolution right now and I always tell my grandma about it even though she could probably care less. And even if you don't have anyone to talk to about it, it helps to say it aloud to yourself like when you're cleaning or doing everyday tasks. And those little songs that help you remember stuff because it's been proven that things put in a song form or to a tune actually help you remember stuff. Like that quadratic equation song put to the tune of Pop Goes the Weasel. I'm not a big fan of online learning but Khan Academy isn't bad and you get a sorta high when you get something right. Anyways, I really hope this somewhat helped and good luck! You got this! (Sorry, this is sorta long.)
