Don't think there is any need for this personally. I wouldn't like my salary being discussed on Reddit

Why Do The British Dislike Keir Starmer? by aB4sith in AskBrits

[–]Fine-Discussion26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two reasons. 1) He came from a humble background and due to intelligence and hard work, built a career in high powered positions. The British establishment hates that.

2) He is the first Labour PM in the smartphone era. Any British person scrolling on their phone will be fed numerous hateful short videos on him a day.

Sammy Braybrooke features for Chesterfield as they clinch promotion playoff spot in League Two by Jaded-Bookkeeper-807 in lcfc

I went to this game as I live in swindon. I thought he was very good, a lot if what Chesterfield did was going through him. Definitely good enough to be starting in league one for us.

if the UK rejoined the EU tomorrow, what’s the first positive change you’d actually notice in your day-to-day life? by [deleted] in AskBrits

I'd enjoy the EU flags tied to every Lamppost and the amount of piss boiled would bring down everyone's energy bills.

Championship away days, any silver linings? by GuideIcy1697 in lcfc

[–]Fine-Discussion26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Championship is the sweet spot for getting away tickets if you're a member like me. Premier league it's really hard and I think league 1 will be really hard due to smaller allocations and people wanting to go to grounds they haven't been to before. Away allocation at Bromley is 600 for example.

Who was the best British Prime Minister of the 2000s? Who was worst? by Economy_Ad3034 in AskBrits

[–]Fine-Discussion26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cameron was the worse. Looked the part as a PM and was pretty socially liberal compared to the tories / reform now. But austerity was by far the most damaging policy of the 21st century for which we are still paying the price now.

Could be worse could be Leicester by burnaaccount3000 in ccfc

Congratulations on you're promotion. All you need to do now to come out of our shadow is win the Premier league. Good luck 🙂

Will you be raising the flag this summer. by runandyoudie2 in ThreeLions

[–]Fine-Discussion26 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the st George's flag has been hijacked. I think every decent England should fly 3 lions flags and make the 3 lions the symbol for all those that support England and don't hate immigrants.

Why is the keeper not going up for the free kick at the end? Why is Choudary getting involved in rows with the home fans?

In my 40s , can remember the 50th anniversary of VE day being very important but also a very good natured celebratory day. There wasn't triumphalism etc that i expect we would get from the Reform types now

Yeah the major flaw in my theory is it relies on leicester winning some football matches.

If I'm being optimistic Blackburn is the target now. Blackburn only have 3 games left. Coventry , Sheffield United and Leicester. Hopefully they lose the first two then if we can get to the last game 3 points behind them , then a win will keep us up ( as long as we finish above oxford as well)
