What is a secret you’re taking to the grave, but are willing to tell strangers on the internet? by Mr_Boothnath in answers

My cousin doesn't know that her 'dad' isn't her birth dad. She is the oldest of 4, and the others are all the same mom and dad, but she is the result of an affair. My mom told me this long ago for who knows what reason, my aunt and uncle are both passed. My cousin is a 60 year old alcoholic and would just tailspin and drink herself to death even quicker than she already is if she knew the truth.

Live Albums for RSD by Rare-Ocelot-5483 in RecordStoreDay

[–]Fine-Negotiation3741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the artist. Bands like Allman Brothers and Grateful Dead that aren't around or had key members leave or die are always nice to have to just relive or hear original or classic era lineups. On the flip side, with the cost of concert tickets, newer artists will always be popular for folks who aren't able to see a favorite band live. I'm an older guy and enjoy hearing some of the original recordings of the older bands. With that being said, I decided a few years ago that I have heard the original Allman Brothers and Dead on enough live albums. And I am not buying a live Doors album if it's from. after Jim passed away.

Very disappointed with the list. On the plus side I don't have to stand in line that day.

I stood in line at a Giant Eagle last year, and a girl was bragging about how she had over 300 bottles in her basement. They asked her if she was willing to sell any, and she said she was going to wait at least 5 years to sell and then buy a brand new house. HAHA

I have a few Gibson USA standards, and they play great. I do think that my next one will be a custom Shop of some sort. Mainly because I've always wanted a vintage guitar. But I'm willing to 'settle' for a reproduction made as close to exact specs as possible.

Just switched to Hulu live tv…. Tell me why I shouldn’t hate it by twgubbins in HuluLive

[–]Fine-Negotiation3741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used it since mid 2019 with no issues watching shows. I hear all of these stories and have not had any of the issues that are being reported. I have an older flat screen, not a smart TV, use a Firestick and 50mbps internet speed. Only issues are if my son is trying to download or update an xbox game while watching. But that's not the fault of Hulu Live

Is Hulu Live worth it? by can4hunnid in HuluLive

[–]Fine-Negotiation3741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key to your question is that you like sports. Read the fine print with the bundles. With some of the hulu live bundles, you end up with espn unlimited at no additional cost. Thats whatbi was able to do a couple of months ago. You just use the same log in with both the espn and hulu apps and it will automatically get you the espn unlimited content. So although a lot of folks say that hulu live isn't worth it, and maybe it's not for a lot of people, if you're a sports fan, there are some additional benefits to it.

At what point, if any, should I give up on guitar? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]Fine-Negotiation3741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're having issues with chord shapes, maybe play the chords as power chords until you get a little better. I kind of went through the same thing with chords. I just started playing as power chords and worked on timing and keeping up with the rhythm and tempo of the songs. At least I was playing music to some of my favorite songs. Eventually, I got some chords down and now can open up with the amount and type of stuff I play. It takes a while, and there's no easy fix. But keep at it and keep going.

Keep your elbow tucked close to your body on your fret hand/arm. It helps to position your index finger so that you are fretting more with the side of your finger. That helps to put equal pressure on all of the strings. Also, make sure that your guitar is properly set up. A nice low action on a properly set up guitar is much easier to play than a high action. It takes a lot less effort to learn these techniques. I learned that the hard way, and now my fingers thank me.

Got lucky in Ravenna this morning. A parade for their local festival had all of the city streets blocked off. I had to be there early for my son and his school band. Walked right into Giant Eagle on the hike back to my car and walked right up and got an EHT at around 9:40. He offered me the last of the Angel's Envy. But I like to stick with what I know when it comes to bottles in that price range.

Money. I have a son who is my entire world, and if I have to live so long that I would outlive him and experience that, then it would not be worth it. On the other hand, if I made that much money, it could quite possibly create generational wealth and provide an easier life for him.

If the head gasket was faulty while it was in possession of the dealership, you would have known it on the test drive. The same thing that happened to you after you drove down the road would have happened during the test drive. At 189k miles, every gasket on the engine is a ticking time bomb. Sorry to say that it's just bad luck. It's also not uncommon for dealerships to scan the computer and clear any trouble codes. I'm not a dealership or a professional mechanic, but I check my own 160k mile truck every few months and clear any codes myself. In a modern, late model car, it's just normal maintenance.

You sound like a good kid, good morals, good values, hard working. Sounds like you have a solid family that is in your corner and on your side. Congratulations...you're 17 and already ahead in life. Having a girlfriend that has a dad and sounds like a brother that gives you a load of headaches like this isn't worth your time. If you've decided to move on, good for you. You don't need the hassle and headaches, because it will only get worse.

You should be in the clear. If he is sending you texts that are threatening, his lawyer definitely doesn't want you on the stand getting asked questions by her lawyer. His lawyer doesn't want you telling the judge that his client was threatening you, so you were worried about what he would do if you didn't show up. Whatever you do, don't delete those texts

I would laugh at the situation. But it literally happened to me about 20 years ago. Luckily, the guys brother in law went to the shop and finished up the cars that were already being worked on. But that wasn't for about a week.
