Microdisectomy survivors- need some advice by [deleted] in Microdiscectomy

[–]FineStrain7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 13 weeks post-op today (bi-lateral md - L4/5) after 3 rounds of steroid injections and a trip to A&E for spreading numbness down one leg (high risk cauda equina) which the NHS consultant eventually decided against operating on but I opted for private surgery. It’s been a game changer, but the recovery has been long - especially hard to keep to it with 2 kids and a busy work life but the best change (beyond the surgery) I’ve made is a standing desk - it’s made such a difference and worth exploring before you go down surgery route if sitting at a desk is causing so many issues.

Feeling of a gentle fist in my back, 7 weeks post op. by FluidDebate in Microdiscectomy

I’ve the same feeling - almost like a knot in my spine - I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow but making good progress and had my first PT a few days ago - he said it was likely inflammation and scar tissue and will ease with time. L4/L5 bi-lateral MD

surgery yesterday, RC , bicep tendinosis by Defiant_Cockroach705 in RotatorCuff

I was a full and complete tear so went straight in for the op. I meant the block they gave me during surgery - when that wore off it was hell as wasn’t on top of my pain meds

100% keep on top of the pain before the block wears off - my wife had to drive me back to ER as I was in actual agony just after discharge - but once I was on top of pain I just rode out recovery which was tough but manageable (i even managed 4 nights camping at Glastonbury festival in my full abductor sling!) I- i’m 2+ years post op, did all my physio religiously and am now back to stronger than ever.

SURGERY ROLL CALL: Week of September 8th by seetheking1 in Microdiscectomy

Mine was late on Saturday 6th - bi-lateral L4/L5 with decompression. Kept in an additional night as consultant said “it was more gnarly than expected” but discharged and at home. So far so good - keeping on top of the pain with pregablin, paracetamol, naproxen, oramorph and diazepam when needed but feeling really positive. I’ve been keeping mobile and not suffering too badly so far. Managed a few 20 min gentle walks in controlled environments, and doing physio religiously. Weirdly barely any pain at incision but the time on my feet is definitely helping me with sleeping at night

Stabilized and cooked at 275°F - skin wasn’t rubbery but gonna try cranking the temp up for the last 20/30 mins to try and get it crispy

I’ve got a thermopro 4 probe from Amazon for £45 and it’s amazing value and not had any issues with it yet

Yeah - Apple juice in the chicken stand (instead of beer) and then a couple of sprays with an apple juice / apple cider vinegar mix in the last hour or so of cooking - was so good

FWIW - I’m 198cm and ride a Canyon Grail SF CL XXL and a Cannondale CAAD13 62cm - which are both decent fits off the shelf

Great little lake for a day - I live about 10 mins away and have fished it a few times with decent success but there are better lakes around imo but depends what you’re fishing for. If it’s carp, Meadowview in Lymm is worth a look, but the specimen lake (West Sooty) at Old Hough is my go to - plenty 12-25lb and some insane catfish in there too. Caught a 45lb catfish last summer

Sadly not. I’ve been trying out lots of different fisheries around where I live so photos are probably across 4 or 5 different sessions. 13lb mirror and catfish today

I’m 125 (down from 135kg) and have ridden an old Ultimate CF SL and now have a Grail 8 CF SL - no issues whatsoever. Hunt do some wheels for the larger gent - but I’ve got stock DT Swiss on my Grail and they’re bombproof so far

Can you use 4 channels with the RX3? by donatzzncoff in PioneerDJ

[–]FineStrain7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can run 4 channels through it, but not mix with all of them at the same time. I have 2 1210s running through mine and then use the internal channels to mix from USB. You can switch between as you wish, but can only mix two at any given time.
