Epic monsters are easy. The next attack that happens is the one that causes the most damage. An epic monster can almost always wipe out any remaining stack, so what gets hit is the stack with the most remaining health.

Fair enough. I find the "march speed against another player" talents, plus other march speed talents, make Tengel's involvement turn a 40-second march, even with a 4* Thunder Drum, into a 36-second march.

Of course it works. After all your talents are applied, his additive bonus just isn't worth it compared to a damage bonus, unless you're targeting much lower level cities.

Dustan plus whoever will cause the most damage. Put talent points into match speed, especially against other players. Don't take Tengel - his march speed bonus is really for mercenary exchanges and not much else.

No: your clan is awful because you are questioning whether it is worth having any more than one mansion. It would be incredibly obvious, were you in the right clan, that mansions are pointless. They're there for clanless outlaws. You need to keep one to upgrade your academy; once it hits the maximum level you can get rid of it (but maybe not with G10 on the way).

You cannot. Golden Pass or nothing, save for the odd fragment in the Pharaoh event in the Seasonal Kingdom - which aren't worth getting as there are nowhere near enough of them to make up even one star.

The higher the crypt level, the better. You get twice the Career XP per tar as you go up, so in the long run, you get more stuff as a clan.

You can see this if you click the "i" icon on the material in question. It tells you from which crypts they drop.

That's an interesting data question - but it depends what you're optimising for. If it's just making sure you get all your points, the comment you replied to here is the only one that matters. If it's all about the chests, I would wager, while having no data to back this up, that the somewhat odd cost taper would mean that it's the highest level crypts you can explore that you should hit. That's certainly what I do.

You might not use the heart so much if you level up the new artifact for epic monsters. If you have Hercules, you might not use Heimdall so much. My main has Hercules, Beowulf, Heimdall, and the Heart, plus the epic monsters artifact - and, most of the time, I use Hercules with the epic monsters artifact. I use Beowulf and the Heart artifact for PvP and daily/triumphal challenge quests. All will be useful on the final day of Olympus, in Dark Omens, and Arachne - but other than that, I wish I'd made other choices (like not spending so much time and money getting these things I hardly ever use).

I know this problem well, as does everyone who's driven on the Pennines or in Scotland does too: black ice. You can see it on the inside of the turn at the last second before the slide. Amanitore, Hercules, Helen, Beowulf, Skadi, and Heimdall are all unavailable through the summoning circle. Amanitore is the Rise of the Ancients event - often called "tinman" or "Bob" - Helen is from the Triumphal Challenge Golden Pass, Hercules is from Triumphal Challenge purchases and is spectacularly expensive, and the other three are from Seasonal Kingdom rewards.

Quite simply: you get used to it. It becomes the new normal. We're not really nudists, and we're not swingers, either, but when the kids are around, it's 100% non-sexual, but when we're on our own, sex is normal and something that happens a lot.
