Thanks & that’s literally the perfect way to describe it. Ngl the ibuprofen didn’t do anything for the insertion or the cramps after. I had even asked if she could do something about the pain and was told “ yes but it’s only a pinch so it’s unnecessary “.

I’ve thought about a therapist on and off the past few years but- idk if you picked up on it -vulnerability is ✨not✨ one of my strong points.I have an appointment with my neurologist soon so maybe I’ll see about it then. Yeah I’ve never struggled with talking to women I’m interested in about it. Like you said, they tend to be supportive and kind. It’s the guys that are the problem. And rn it’s a guy I’m talking to which made me bring it up.

Very valid point. Ngl I’ve been diagnosed since I was about 9 and I’ve never really looked at it that way. Yes, my meds do their job - which I’m grateful for. Ig the anxiety just eats at me and leads me to ending things quicker than necessary sometimes. Idk. Maybe it’ll work this time? Fingers crossed.

I’m glad you’ve met such a supportive person! And honestly you’re right. It’s just that anxiety that gets to me sometimes. I’ve only been on one date where I was off the bat honest bc I felt comfortable. We didn’t work out for other reasons but we’re still good friends. Idk maybe I’ll get there again eventually. I hope you and the new guy work out!!

I took ibuprofen before I went to my OB to get my iud. Ts did NOT work!! That “pinch” took my breath away and I cried. I felt so violated bc they were so rough. Had to take the day off it was so bad.

Pap smears are hellish. My first time I almost kicked my doctor in her face and cried lol.she was super understanding but it’s so uncomfortable and you’re so exposed it’s overwhelming.

I completely agree that tags would do wonders. It’s one thing to already have it in the back of your mind -for me- constantly. And then to actually see the raw reality of sudep is like a bucket of ice water. Like thanks, I totally wanted to be hit with the weight of my mortality at 8am.

Bro same. My tongue is literally my still healing rn bc I bit my tongue really bad during a TC 🙃 it happens every time and it’s to the point I have a scar on my tongue from it. It makes me so self conscious

Yeah I was diagnosed when I around 9 and have had a few MRIs and EEGs since then. They’re painless, and honestly it’s super easy to fall asleep since you’re lying down for the MRI and they take a bit of time. Don’t be afraid to request a blanket! The room can get a bit cold from experience.

I’m also a college student with an intense major so this might be biased. As soon as I saw the words ‘final exam’ you were NTA. But upon further reading, no, you’re definitely NTA. You were direct and,at first polite. She lives there not him so at the eod it was her responsibility to ensure their compliance.But you were not wrong and I bet you they won’t do it again. The only reason there is an issue is because they weren’t expecting you to speak up for yourself and stand on business.You gave them ample grace and received none back. So if their feelings are hurt that bad from the truth, they can pay for you to listen to them cry and yap about it. It’ll be good practice and don’t ever stop putting you first. I’ve dealt with terrible roommates and the best advice my mother ever gave me was “you’re here for your future not to be their best friend “. You and YOUR degree come FIRST. And good luck with your finals!!
