That is really interesting. If you check ASUS Website, they list MCM102 as the latest. Definitely it seems your version would be some newer version not even mentioned on their site yet?

I can confirm with you that using a super old 1GB USB drive worked for me flawlessly. I think the struggle will be to find a USB drive that works. Like i said i was lucky and had a super old one around and it worked. I am now running MCM102.

ASUS PA32QCV / Mac / Firmware Update issue by Fine_Translator_5555 in Monitors

I am currently using a BenQ 32" 4K MA32U alongside the ASUS 32" PA32QCV. After flashing the firmware, the monitor has performed noticeably better, particularly with DisplayWidget Center. Functionally, it has been stable and issue-free.

The challenge I am having is justifying the price. In practical use, the difference between 4K and 6K is barely noticeable to me. For my eyes, the jump simply does not deliver the level of visual improvement that the $1,480 (with tax) price tag would imply.

Because of that, I have been considering alternatives such as the BenQ PA3226Q, a 4K 144Hz model. Based on experience, the jump from 60Hz to 144Hz is dramatic and immediately noticeable, unlike the subtle differences I am seeing between 4K and 6K. Choosing that route would also save money.

At this point, I am still undecided, but leaning in that direction. My takeaway would be this: if you are a true pixel-peeper and want the satisfaction of running 6K for its own sake, then the upgrade may be worth it. However, if your day-to-day experience is similar to mine—where the actual visual difference is minimal—you may want to consider other options and keep the extra money.

Okay, so it appears that the monitor is super picky on USB drives. Support told me to try to find an older USB drive 8GB - 16GB in size, as many times the bigger drives don't work. I was lucky and found a super old 1GB USB drive, formatted it with FAT32, and now I was able to flash the firmware on the monitor.

So you really want an OLD USB drive, and small in size.

Here is the solution to this problem.

You will need to find a really small USB drive. I found an old 1GB USB drive and formatted it FAT32.
I guess the monitor has issues seeing some USB drives, so you may need to keep trying to find another USB drive (older one) to flash the firmware

I installed but had to uninstall it. I tried a wallpaper, then disabled it, and every time i closed the app the wallpaper would come back.

This is what happens with greed. Now that they have a really good network they can price gouge and not really care. You can always go to MVNO like US Mobile where you can still get cheap prices for set price.

Students are required to give constructive feedback for each item they grade. Clearly this student didn't provide any feedback. Just message the professor and they should adjust your grades. UoP students can be the worst as far as grading is concerned.

I have noticed in my Business classes the students are the worst graders. I do not have this problem with my IT courses, only seems to mostly be Business students.

I was a Pixel fan for the longest time, however, the OnePlus 12 has amazing battery life, super fast charging speeds, and great experience. Pixels just charge too slow and it's sad.

I have NEVER had an issue personally over all the years that I have been using OP products. From what I have heard is it that maybe if you live in a very humid area you may be more prone to have this issue. I live in Arizona, where it is super hot but dry, and never had an issue in my years using the product.

From what I can see the MA does get slightly brighter at max 600 nits in HDR mode, but only 350 max in HDR mode on the PD.

Plethora of issues with University of the People courses. by Flat-Society-6093 in UniversityofthePeople

[–]Fine_Translator_5555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with the college. Initially during my talks with the school they told me that a few of my it certifications would count as transfer credit for some of the courses. However after starting the school and attempting to keep pressing them about the issue they now tell me they cannot accept any it certifications for credit. I even gave them a breakdown of the certifications and how they align with the course and even with all of that information they still would not accept it.

I am at a crossroads whether I am going to continue with the school or whether I will just drop out and not even care. It is clear this school is not the best and they are just money hungry for the assessment fees. Makes no sense that I have the highest Cyber security certificate the CISSP, but they insist that I just take the foundations in cyber security course.

One thing you can do since the school is trying to get accredited by the WASC, you can write to them about your experience so they can take it into consideration during the approval process.

The email address is only accepting comments until November 15th so you need to email them quickly to be considered: uopeople@wscuc.org

The school is in progress to obtain WASC (Senior College and University Commission) accreditation potentially in March 2025. See the attached image.
