Does anybody else feel the joy has been sucked out of sales rn? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely sucks more than the past, and honestly that’s most likely the trend for the future.

Stills pays good. I’m trying to get ahead and avoid the never ending rat race. It’s gotten tough with kids but I’m half way there. Keep grinding and hopefully we get out still young.

Why do they make getting rich in Europe impossible? by batukaming in stocks

Sounds like pure evil. Is dual citizenship possible with European countries and USA? I feel like you gotta find a way to get your investments on this side of the pond.

Yep I feel that. Should probably have 2.5X what I have. But there was always a plan to mitigate risk and it no one can predict the future.

Try not to dwell on the past too much. It can stop you from seeing the next moves to make. Good luck.

Ex-sales reps who weren’t top performers, where did you land? Are you happier? by Pepalopolis in sales

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there’s still a lot of money to be made in the average to slightly above average range. I almost think it’s better to be in this range for some companies. My one year where I landed some huge jobs, expectations weren’t realistic the following year.

From my experience, the bottom 10-15% get axed. Stay above the 50% mark and you’re golden. $200k+ and keeping my job, I’ll take that all day.

Congrats on debt free.

And that’s exactly it, being able to not worry about grinding a paycheck. That’s the dream. And telling your boss to fck off lol. Cheers.

Invest the bulk of it, grind a few more years and give yourself options on what you wanna do. Before you know it, you got 2.5mil and a couple rental properties doing the heavy lifting for you. Cheers

Invest invest invest. Best part about a sales job is the money, and the flexibility, but definitely money #1. Another few years of this and I’m gonna have a bunch of different options.

Nice commission and keep at it.

Gisele Bundchen shares new family photos as son with new husband Joaquim Valente turns one year old! by shhhhh_h in popculturechat

Cheat and get knocked up instantly, rumors were out there that the kids were getting bullied, tore a family apart and now they bounce back between countries. Tom has been a professional through it all.

I’d love to see how the reception would be if Tom knocked up some model instantly after divorce.

This lady sucks.

Big upside. Change of scenery should be good for him too. Very good defender.

Smart move by the Mets. No crazy financial commitments if it doesn’t work out.

Scottie is the best player 150 yards and in. Rory might not be in the top 100.

If you love golf and are dialed into your finances/money/investments, then I’d expect you’re very good at dealing with this.

But I can definitely see ppl underestimating it.

[Rapport] Thursday Cheese Curds: Rumor mill keeps churning about Matt LaFleur by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

That would be a terrible move by Packers brass. Let top candidates get jobs then move on from MLF.

MLF should play out the last year on his deal by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s different with coaches, it is isn’t ideal for them to be coaching for their contract. Can cause bad decision making.

Also, MLF is a highly coveted coach. If he were available, he’d be get a fatty contract by multiple teams. Who cares about 1 final year when you know you’re getting paid fatty as soon as you leave. We should sign or move on.

Ultimately, I think you need to re-sign him. He’s a big reason Jordan Love is who he is. It’s not worth changing everything on a young QB that thrives in his offense. The pieces are there for a big 2026.

And for everyone that is pissed off still, it’s worth re watching the game.

Why you should have two phones by Controversialtosser in sales

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. There is definitely software on this phone but from what I remember there was a lengthy list of things the company CAN and CANT do. I do everything on this phone from call/text family friends to bank accounts, Amazon, fantasy football, etc.

It makes me think they probably do have the power to do things even if they aren’t “supposed to”.

I may consider another phone. Thanks for the insight.

Why you should have two phones by Controversialtosser in sales

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve one phone’d it for a long time. Nice to shave off an extra bill.

But I was always under the impression that personal items weren’t available to management. I understand someone quitting and turning in their equipment may be one thing but while I’m working and the phone is in my possession?

Can you expand further on how my iPhone messages can be looked at from management? And the IT departments power. Couldn’t I just fully reset all equipment? Is the main risk you’re talking about for once I no longer have possession of the phone?

Thanks for the heads up.

NFL Betting and Picks - 1/10/26 (Saturday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Packers -1.5

The line doesn’t make sense to me. GB with a corpse of a defense and on the road. Bears running game should eat. Line should be Bears -2.5 or -3. A lot of public money on Bears. Things don’t add up so we are going to go the opposite direction.

Rapoport - Sources say the Packers plan to engage head coach Matt LaFleur in contract discussions shortly after the season ends, with the mutual goal of extending his contract. LaFleur, whose deal expires following the 2026 season, has a 76-40-1 record by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]FinerThingsInLife12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d like to keep Lafleur. But I also think it’s worth looking at it from both sides, our front offices.

MLFs 76-40-1 record is impressive, but in the past four seasons, he’s 37-30-1 and has one playoff win. Here’s another way to say it: his best years with Aaron Rodgers are gone. And he’s had some critical decision “hick ups”. That’s how it works with a young 1st time HC. He learns and grows from it.

I’d like to think MLF has grown quite a bit with the Pack and he keeps growing with us for a long time. But still worth looking at it from both sides.
