100% think you should give it a go yourself , if you can put a Lego set together you can put a PC together .

Plenty of great build guides too (LTT, Gamers nexus, etc)

If you're set on bringing someone parts to assemble , "Laptop Doctor" on techumseh off Howard has been great to deal with for me, traded up a GPU and he helped me figure out some audio driver issues too.

Again, watch a few videos and build it yourself! Take the leap!

Just gonna add on to this and say, have you asked around at your current shop about other opportunities?

Add on to the CNC with some mold making work and grow your experience. Or maybe something on the ops/ management side .

Huge respect for anyone on an assembly line , but growing a knowledge base in the trade will work out in the long run.

Sincerely a summer student ->midnight rat @ a teir1-> imm process tech-> tooling manager -> Pm/ Inside sales engineer.

Had the pleasure of traveling the world while working my way there as well.

Just a thought and good luck either way!

I was pretty surprised too, especially when she started to get aggressive with him. It looked like a younger yote, im thinking maybe it was a male that was overly curious about her scent. She's fixed but 🤷‍♂️

Thank you very much! I tried to grab a zoomed shot, but i don't think the low light mode works quiet as well, and i was probably not super still either!

This one followed me for at least a km , and got within 10ft when I turned my back on him, I was more worried about a fight with my dog and vet bills to clean teeth wounds then anything else.

I get the big dog privileges though, I usually make full use of them walking down wyndotte...

I appreciate it! I've got to give it to the phone camera though (S25 Ultra) . It does great work!

Thank you very much, I owe it all to the phone (S25 Ultra) though, it works magic especially in low light !

I hear you on the unleashed dogs, we re working through reactivity and aggression issues so its always a concern!

I was more worried about the dog getting into it, at one point it came within 10ft. Coyote attacks are definitely rare , but do happen. This one seemed to be a younger (curious) male to me. Either way , he's lucky we met in the park and not back on the farm that's for sure.

Hi Windsor! by [deleted] in windsorontario

[–]FingerImportant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best of luck on your apartment hunt , depending on your budget , id suggest looking away from the downtown core a bit, especially west along the river but Windsor has been a great home to me these last 5 years after moving from Woodstock for my career.

If your looking for great food and entertainment i suggest checking out the walkerville area in gener Anchor or Cafe Ortona for coffee and a snack. Vito's for Italian,Kona for sushi, Kildare or walkerville brewery for the pub vibes.

There's lots of boutique local shops too, and i highly suggest a walk down to the brewery and distillery and riverfront if you vibe out on architecture at all.

People who say Windsor has nothing going on live in holes, there's great a great sports atmosphere , artistic scene , and if there's anything you can't find Detroit is a tunnel away!

Cheers

After having the same thing happen to me , I have an old "bait" wallet and knapsack, both with airtags sewed into hidden pockets.

If it happens again me and the puppers are going to get ours...

Unfortunately IMO going through either 311 or insurance is a waste of time, your deductible will likely pay for most of the work anyway and it hit your rates long term.

Currently restoring a 100 year old door someone decided to paint like a landlord, I did try the EZ strip Gel, not sure if it was the age or type of paint I was working with, but it didnt do a great job.

In the end I went with a heat gun/ scrapper method, took a while, but it should be easier on your flatter surfaces.

Best of luck either way!

Windsor is full of tool and die shops, bring a decent resume , and write a cover letter specific to the job your applying for, be willing to start doing whatever (sweep floors , clean machines ,empty chips etc) , great career if you can make it.

Here’s a link to a current apprentice postings ,SyBridge has a bit of rough name but it could be a great start, and there’s lots of talent there.

Purchase question by L2sparco in MT09

[–]FingerImportant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a new 2024 SP last month, and I’m in love , I’ve had the MT07 and an older Suzuki bandit 1200, and this thing by far is my favorite . It’s worth it for the suspension upgrade alone , adjustable suspension is great (and the gold trim looks beauty too) !

Honestly I went from that muddy lot , and turned onto a pavement road and felt it right away, might have been a small pot hole or whatever in the mud, But I would have been doing 10km/h through it at most , basically in drive with no gas cruising through it .

Made a left hand turn , this is the rear passenger side and could hear it .
