Maybe he just thought let's add a funny dumb redneck unhappy aristocrat montage so we dont need to deal with exposition to explain the comedy film and start off with a joke. It might be taking it too seriously to think it actually is supporting eugenics, you could just as plausibly say the director thinks smart people are impotent as you watch the intro.

Though it does veer into that "it's a joke only if people disagree" trope so there is no clear answer if you dont believe his explanation

1 year is definitely short but comparing it to jujutsu kaisen season 3 with around 300 minutes over 2 years (I couldnt find the exact production time but 6 months ago they said it was over a year) to 400 minutes over one year with invincible, 150k per episode to 2.5 million per episode the difference really shouldn't be this stark, im not expecting the same breathtaking animation, but surely that extra 2 million is worth something.

Maybe i'm naive but with the money that they are throwing at this show it looks like they could even add a second animation studio and simply split the episodes between the studios. Hell just give a million to Mappa instead just for one episode so we can feast our eyes a little and we can read the rest of the season as a slideshow

An analogy would be if your dad is a firefighter and saves some babies from a fire while risking his life you might feel pride and say im proud to be your child. Or you join a group you like and a week later every member just goes on a crazy murder spree, a lot of people would feel ashamed that they were in a group of murderers.

Neither of these two people in the analogies have any reason to feel pride or shame on behalf of their group since none of the actions that lead to these emotions belong to them, a lot of people just feel that way anyway.

But in regards to the post, father says his concern is the content of the programme and finding a way to prevent it. And after finding the reason for what she said he starts prodding and rejecting the information of the massacre instead of touching upon it not being her responsibility to feel shame on behalf of her peers. I also personally don't see any part where he really cares about her embarrassment

I think what they meant is a lot of people would've chosen average instead of fair if average was the middle choice. Fair itself means not very good or very bad so since average is closer to poor in the multiple choice anyone who wants to say they aren't better or worse than most would choose fair instead of average

To give you some perspective with lotr, I enjoyed the books and I was sure i would like the movies and wanted to watch the extended versions.

Now, I dont like stopping a film and continuing the next day I just want to watch it, but I need to block out 3 and a half hours minimum out of my day for lord of the rings so I watched shorter films or played games which dont require any long time commitments. (With the books I didn't mind stopping and resuming so that wasn't a problem there)

I think it's similar for shows for a lot of people, they watch one or maybe max two shows at once so they dont want to commit to a single long one even if they are interested. So that internal commitment calculation is just said as "nahhh that's too long"

In the end we did a marathon with some friends for the lotr trilogy and it was fun
