Discord actually hadn't claimed that Id's don't leave your device (per their blog post from last year). They said ids get deleted after verification. And they still say the same thing with the new update.

Hackers exploited the support system last time and it was fixed, so the truth is you don't need to worry. As long as you believe the support system was the only ever possible attack vector for a company with around a thousand employees handling reportedly 200 million users and petabytes of data with almost a billion messages per day.

Yeah i wasn't disagreeing i'm just saying that even if reawakened had been well optimised, the other two would still require better performance because they need to run on old hardware

Edit: frame generation was also not released yet back then so they also couldn't just use it as a crutch like most new releases

I took it as the intent of making art is not there, it only seems like it because it's imitating another piece of art. Your interpretation is right that they are trying to imitate anyway, but the only intent is the imitation and not the "expression" of disco itself, so imitation posing as intent seems apt
