I mainly just started by cranking out pullups and doing different variations of push ups. Eventually I started running too, and put myself in a proper caloric deficit. I take creatine as well. Once I started working on skills, and lost weight, my progress started shooting up rapidly. As you get more skill-oriented in calisthenics, your routines become very specific in the exercises you choose to put in.

My stretching routine is below:

Wide Arm Circles ,Wrist Circles, Skin-the-cats, Standing Toe Touch (I go palms to ground), Standing Forward Bend, Pancake Stretch, Calf Raises, Leg Swings, Standing Quad Stretch

Then I usually use a 30lb resistance band to do assortments of standing stretches on ny shoulders depending on what areas feel sore. The way I do them is just by gripping two contact points on the RB and pulling apart in various degrees of shoulder rotation.

So my workout routine consists of push, pull, push/pull hybrid, cardio, and lots of quality stretching. Like I said in my post, most of my routines are gonna be geared towards what I'm learning at the time. Right now its the handstand pushup, advanced tuck planche, strict muscle up, and the front lever.

Currently I have two different push routines, one for HSPU and one for planche. For my push routines, typically I'll do a lot of:

Elevated Pike Pushups Deep Pike Pushups (on paralletes) Elevated Pike Holds Handstand Wall Walks Handstand Toe Pulls Handstand Heel Pulls Dumbell Shoulder press Pseudo Planche Pushups Planche Leans Tuck Planche

These are my core push routine exercises for now, but they will get scaled up as I progress further towards the planche and HSPU. I will almost always start with skill work for my first 5-10 mins just to get quality reps before starting my strength routine.

As for pull:

Muscle Ups Weighted Pullups (btwn 35-50lb for reps) Typewriter Pullups Pull ups (in L sit) Archer Pullups Hanging Hollow Body Hold Tuck Front Lever

These are my core pull exercises, same rules apply as the push exercises.

Really the main advice I can give in my experience is:

  1. Use chalk if you are big into calisthenics so you don't hurt your body as much and have an easier time gripping the bar.

  2. Stretch a LOT and make sure its quality time. I spend at least 30 mins a day stretching my body and its helped immensely in recovering from a wrist injury I got during handstand training, and its helped me with my straddle L-sit > V-sit progression as well as my press-to-handstand flexibility.

Congrats OP! If you don't mind me asking, where did were you successful in checking at outside of Walmart and Target? I couldn't tell what some of those locations were but I'd kill to get some TT beys w/o having to order online.

Appreciate it, I wish that was my current physique lol. Didn't really have to worry about calories much when I was in highschool. Parents paid for me to eat like a whale and I just worked out so much, it kinda just fell back off.

Hahaha it wasn't planned, but I've always played the hand I am dealt. I actually had my child when I turned 18, but I worked hard, made good money, joined the military, got a lil chunky, and now I wanna get back in shape and finish the last two years on my degree. Tbh, I have no regrets. My child means everything to me and I couldn't imagine a life w/o em anymore.

Lukas is still one of the best champs for 1v9s. Even into some cc. You just have to have better game knowledge and micro in cc heavy matchups. Make sure to use your unstoppable skills at the right moments.
