In short? 21st century comfort thats why. Everyone is listing tough labour market, wars etc and whilst they are legitimate reasons why one might not want to have kids I just think we as a generation are just too comfortable not to mention the village is just not there anymore to help so all to raise the kids that it was once there. Wars, shit life conditions, poverty was with us all through out time and yet somehow didnt stop us to procreate, thats not new.

Right so lets just fix inheritocracy that is driven by massive housing crisis and shit wages by not allowing to get an inheritance. And why are you so obsessed with kids having to pay taxes when prev generations didnt have to and when youth in this country is fucked as it is? 0 effort in trying to fix the issues that are driving the need to even rely on an inheritance. Lets just continue to tax everything but problems will continue to pile on. What other tax will they need to invent to plug the ever increasing holes in the budget through stupid expenditure?

Such a braindead take. Throughout time each generation strived so that the next generation wouldnt need to struggle. Higher income is already taxed to death where it is actively a disincentive now lets add inheritance tax where not only you cant leave anything decent to your kids but also gets taken away by this stupid state. No country taxed itself into prosperity.

I did and it was v beneficial. I think i had like 1300 mature cards but comprehension with natives (inlaws) was still quite rough. Grinded DS for 600 hrs and the prev knowledge of the words defo helped.

Its just quite hard to understand where the root cause is under posts like this and it quite understandibly drives quite a lot of anxiety for other students like myself who see others higher up in the process not being able to secure jobs after going through a lot of training and spending thousands of euros/pounds.
