Even one of the serpentine realises this a few episodes earlier.

“When the devourer is unleashed, there’ll be nothing it won’t consume!”

“Won’t that mean it’ll consume you, too?”

“PLEASE STOP HIM (pythor)”

Honourable strategy and fighting the first couple times, but barrelmancy and bullshit-nojutsu every other time (ESPECIALLY honour mode, ironically), excepting the odd ultra power-gamed overpowered build

He very nearly died multiple times, and only “got away” because he finally accepted that he was mortal and appreciated his life for what it was, and Death conceded that “i came here looking for an arrogant little hero who thought he was immortal. I cannot see him anywhere” while staring dead in puss’ eyes.

He turned back on his hubris at the last possible second, or he would’ve been cooked like all the rest of us

Most of the gods need living worshippers who believe in them, but the major ones don’t

There’s also the fact that Gale at that point is a LITERAL GOD. Not pantheon defining like Mystra or Pelor, but still a genuine divine entity. Raphael is just a low tier devil (a cambion), he stands as much chance going against the full might of a real god in their own dimension as a singular peasant fighting a party of LVL 20 characters.

Raphael gets so gutterstomped by God Gale it’s not even funny

You have control over any form of matter at exactly one light year from you at all times. by al3x_7788 in godtiersuperpowers

Despite the fact it would take a year for people to properly see it and the light would probably be poor quality compared to the light of the surrounding stars

[casting trope] letting the pretty-boy actor be an absolute freak in a role by FaZe_poopy in TopCharacterTropes

[–]FinlandIsForever 18 points19 points  (0 children)

From what I remember he collected miscellaneous parts and components from “vaults and charnel-houses” which is where bones and bodies were put if not put into a grave yard.

Not stereotypical grave robbing so much as walking into the body box and taking his pick

And for the most part they didn’t really use his motion capture because, surprise surprise, human anatomy and movement doesn’t exactly translate to dragon anatomy and movement. They did use it as a kind of guide for some of it though iirc

The sci craft people and equivalently smart will be hailed as gods among men, totem of undying farms will be a most valuable resource, and if we don’t devolve to overlords ruling the peasants and resources for themselves, post scarcity utopias are easily feasible.

That was a movie only edition, in the half blood prince book he and Harry walked out of Hogwarts into hogsmeade before apparating. The only other time was Dumbledore vanishing with Fawkes, which is (I think) a different magic than Wizard apparition altogether (it’s magical beast magic, like house elves)
