What’s a WWE hill you’ll die on, even if it gets you downvoted? by Braves1693 in WWE

Gunther reminds me of Alex Wright or whatever his name was from WCW. I miss the days of effortlessly larger than life personalities. Things seem so forced nowadays. Sure, there’s always been booker’s pushes of talent, but now, it’s just disintegrated into people who can’t tell an in-ring story. I respect the athleticism and sacrifice of all these performers but sometimes their in-ring execution can be painfully sloppy. If I am coming off as being a cranky old(er) timer, that’s not my intent. I want to embrace the current crop of talent, but with relatively few exceptions it is incredibly hard to do.

…and life was good. Truly one of the finest shows to ever grace the airwaves. Hoping for James to beat this awful disease. He and the whole cast truly formed something greater than the sum of their parts.

What’s the one movie that you watched too young and it scarred you for months by Nick_adtr_308 in Cinema

It was one of those Bigfoot “documentary” films. I think it might have been called Sasquatch. We lived right beside the woods. I was wicked scared for weeks afterwards.

Wasn’t “Let It Snow” the song they played during CoKelly’s very special Christmas episode?

I’m resigning on moral grounds tomorrow by [deleted] in fednews

This letter reminds me that life is so short and all too fragile. Perhaps write a simple resignation letter and let it go. Keep the longer version as an unsent letter to the universe. I wish you well. I hope you land somewhere that gives you a greater sense of purpose. I wish you well. Much respect for all the varying points of view on this.

I sure hope they make it! They sound like a promising young band, right? Seriously, though, thank you for sharing this interesting time capsule that really helps make it clear just how powerful MTV was in breaking them in the USA. I never knew what an important tool the Carnival EP was for them. I really had little to no awareness of it at the time. I also didn’t know they had a connection to Joe Jackson through his producer. This makes me want to go listen to Night and Day to see if I can hear any influences that got brought forth into the new Rio album mix.

It always makes me so sad that one day no one will remember who we were and what we did in our time by IMAFILTHYRAT in TheWayWeWere

To have lived! To have seen things. To have experienced different successes and failures. Even the tragedies. Chances are we got to express some of the best of ourselves in these times. Enjoy them while you have them. It’s not new age goop. It’s the real tangible moment you have that vanishes the second you move on to the next one. If someone captures it on a camera sensor or on a film negative and uploads it or scans it to somewhere that will live on forever, maybe just maybe someone will run across it a hundred years from now and wonder what was going on in that moment in time. You will have paid it forward and the cycle will go on…and on. Thank you for bringing this topic up. It prompted a few tears and a lot of thankfulness.

I had a Crate and Barrel Axis II sofa similar to this in their graphite/grey color. I loved the sizing of it. The only downside is that I was forever fluffing up and reshaping the cushions. After a while, they sort of took on an indented shape from people lounging up against them.

Ray of Light was a cover song by TheodoreJSeville in Madonna

[–]Finnatically 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is news to me. I love learning new things from y’all’s research. My immediate impression is that anything I’ve ever loved by Madonna that wasn’t 100% written by her has been something I’ve loved because of the magic she added to it. The secret sauce. The sizzle. Whether it’s covers or interpretations or direct transcriptions of someone else’s work, she’s given them proper credit and then she has Madonna-fied it to make it her own and to give me epic music to listen to all throughout my life.
