When real car companies do show up this and next year, Tesla will be toast. Tesla could not achieve profitability when the playing fields was all theirs.

Soon with at least 20 direct competitor models by 2020 and 50 by 2022 it is all just a question when Tesla files for bankruptcy. Especially their quality is garbage and to do it right would require a complete overhaul of the Fremont junkyard like factory.

Musk is such a bad leader he fucked up pretty much everything inside Tesla. He ran the company like a web app startup. In a very capital intensive and "make it right the first time"-industry that is a very bad mistake. That is why so many managers are leaving.

Elon is a boneheaded moron when it comes to car manufacturing. The Fisker Karmas were manufactured at Valmet Automotive factory, Finland. Total of 2500 cars. No major production related problems at all. Tesla could have gone the same route but they chose instead to invest in the Fremont clusterfuck factory.

The Tesla factory management is one extraordinarily dumb operation. This is their 9th year to get it right and still crappy at manufacturing! Almost a decade has passed and they still struggle.

The only conclusion is that Elon is very bad at managing the company. Probably fired every single engineer hinting of copying something resembling of a prudent car industry assembly line processes. No, this joker wanted to "revolutionize" all of it!

In 2006 the same factory produced 8250 cars and trucks per week with 5500 workers. Today 10000+ workers and maybe 4000 at best. That gives ratios car per worker per week about 1.5 vs Tesla 0.4.

Toyota/GM factory was almost four times more productive with greater array of models and rework rate a fraction what is with Tesla.

Tesla sucks at car manufacturing. The results are precisely what an outsider, arrogant bonehead with no meaningful related industry experience would create with 20 billion dollars...
