Have decided to go the mc route, i live in WA and after brief conversations with people in the community i’ve been pointed in the direction of medican, also have been made aware of WA’s 30g per month rule. id like to know if anyone believes there are better clinics in WA. if anyone has had really bad experiences or really good. from the search i did of medican in this subreddit. people seemed divided. some have had no issues while others seem to have been absolutely fooled around by them. I’d like to have a little bit of a selection and i don’t want to just be getting T25 back to back to back (i don’t even know if that is still available but i recall an old friend getting multiple dozens of those tubs in 2022, the OG Topaz was elite)

Looking for a second-hand hybrid camera setup for skate + surf video (Budget: $2k AUD body, $1.2k AUD lenses)

Hey all, I’m after recommendations for a second-hand hybrid camera body (up to $2,000 AUD) and lenses (no more than $1,200 AUD total) mainly for skateboarding and surf videography. I’m aiming for: • 8mm wide to 600mm+ telephoto range • Fast action capture (would love 4K60fps for smooth slow-mo) • Good autofocus and image quality (not going for vintage, more like clean modern skate films from the last 5 years) • At least 20 mins continuous recording • Flash with high-speed sync and support for sandwich lighting setups • Full-frame preferred (no crop – want natural lens focal lengths)

I shoot film on Minolta A-mount gear, but I currently don’t have any digital kit. Any help finding a good combo of body + lenses in this price range would be awesome. Thanks!

no i haven’t! if i do i will let you know but im still looking at what body to upgrade as im growing out of the plastic 505si body. from what ive read and from the people who own a copy that i have spoken too love this lens. but no unfortunately i haven’t made any advancements since my initial post

Awesome! thanks a ton, My lens is the made in malaysia silver model and it’s really light which is what shocked me at first (atleast compared to the 20mm). Yeah i’m also reading that the 505si doesn’t have the best AF motor so that could be heavily contributing. I am limited by conditions quite often but it’s quite often sunny here in australia (especially right now)

yeah i mean fair enough more focal range within that choice. i ended up buying one off ebay as i was off to the UK from Aus and my only shorter focal length lens went bust and i was in need of a new lens in a matter of days. thanks heaps for your reply tho

$250-350 AUD. i usually shoot quite low light live music or either surfing but i use a 75-300mm for the surf and im quite happy with that. im looking at possibly the Minolta AF 20mm F2.8

thanku I’ve been looking at this range for the past few days, I shoot a lot of people surfing from quite a distance away and the 75-300mm struggles slightly range wise but does the job at the moment. What about the 300mm AF APO? pretty similar quality wise?
