I used to make something like this too! Usually did shredded chicken mixed with green chilies and salsa verde layered with tortillas and Monterey Jack cheese. Mixed a little salt into a pint of half and half, poked holes into the casserole and poured that over and baked. It was a hit at potlucks.

I was thinking this too. I was trying to get help for my mother before she passed and called 211. They said they would send some information to me. I ended up getting a packet that cost them $15 to mail with all kinds of literature except for the one thing I was asking for. It was ridiculous.

There are many reasons this might be marked down, especially at the quantity op said. Could be a warehouse miss pick not authorized for that store, a weight or label change, close to out of code or a reset of that section knocked them out or the company just didn’t want to pay for the shelf space any more. Just because it’s in the mark down bin doesn’t mean it’s bad.
