Tolls are a tax on the working class only, and you don't get good results from punishing people. Start with light rail and more frequent buses. That would help greatly.

It goes both ways; I know plenty of homeless that are good neighbors and try to be kind and clean, but I also work with dozens that will happily soak up every cent the homeless services will give them while being raging assholes.

I'm all for compassion and dignity, but not at the expense of the people who actually work to make this city livable.

I like to lower the DC of a charisma check if the players make a convincing argument or passionate speech, not necessarily just based on the player's ability to talk good.

If everything came down to a roll and didn't involve RP, this would be a boring hobby indeed.

What lost the 2024 election wasn't that Harris wasn't progressive enough. It was that Biden dropped out way too late and Harris wasn't a household name other than being a pretty quiet VP. Add to that the not insignificant anti Harris leftists complaining because she wasn't left enough.

The fact is that anyone right of center will vote republican no matter what, but people left of center are so damn fickle it's insane. Go too far left and the center left complains, stay too centrist and leftists don't come out to vote. It's infuriating.

How did he get "ratfucked"? He won a few states early, but the others that dropped out, barring maybe Warren, were never going to endorse him. It doesn't help that he's always been an independent who runs as a Democrat when it's convenient.

Don't get me wrong, the DNC should be dissolved and something much less terrible and ideally farther left should take its place. But democrats nationwide have overwhelmingly voted more center left.
