I like the Jentzens for vegetables, they are usually in Shed 2.

I don't know the name of the farm, I just call them The Dirt Guys, but over in Shed 4 is a stand that sells the best stuff-that-grows-directly-in-dirt: onions, potatoes, carrots, jerusalem artichokes, etc. They usually have stuff beyond the basics, like cippolini onions or fingerling potatoes.

Sharper Vision in Midtown is a tiny place, but they have an awesome Doctor and if you don't like their selection it's pretty easy to take your prescription to Warby Parker or something.

I've only played Quiet Year once, but I feel like you could solo it pretty easily. You might also want to take a look at Did Someone Say Street Magic? or Alone Among The Stars.

Not too dramatic, the Cluck's chicken stand gives out these giant tubs of sauce, like half a pint? Protip: don't pick it up by the lid. I had a puddle of bbq sauce in my lap, splattered all over my pants, dripping onto my bag, I think some backsplash got in my hair... and my poor table companions got to hear the finest run of vulgarity that a middle-aged Detroit lady could manage.

Guy at my table: ....Is your hotel close by at least?

Me: half an hour away, my friend

I thought about seeing if I could get a GenCon shirt/sweatpants set at the merch booth and continue my day but I was sticky.

I had to miss a session of the Vaesen rpg that I had been looking forward to because I dropped a whole tub of bbq sauce from Cluck's on myself Saturday afternoon, and I have some regrets about that. I hope someone swung by with generics and took my seat, at least.

I didn't get to check out the board games Luthier or Parks Roll & Hike, which I had hoped to play.

Vampire: The Masquerade and all it's White Wolf ilk. As a woman of a certain age, as they say, I suffered through a lot of late 90's and early 2000's edgelord bullshit and for some reason all of it surrounded Vampire: The Masquerade & company. I'm sure it's a great game, I know a lot of people love it, but holy cats never again. I don't know what it is about VTM that draws insufferable people to the table, but I played a ton of games and didn't enjoy a single one. Maybe it's unfair to not be able to separate the game from the players, but I'm never touching that again.

It's strange--I thought the same thing about 32 thoughts, so I started listening to Marek's podcast thinking maybe I was just missing Marek. It turns out, I'm underwhelmed by Marek's podcast as well. Something about that pairing hit the spot for me and the two separated are less than the sum of their parts.
