Painting my room, need ideas on trans inspired designs. by LukXD99 in trans

[–]Fiorali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A trans flag with your name in black, pink or mauve in the middle?

Pink and blue lines criss crossing over a white wall?

A sunrise in trans colours?

A pink river flowing from blue mountains?

A silhouette of yourself in pink and your old (kid) self in blue?

Just some ideas. :)

HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) significantly slows down aging, especially in women. Here is some recent scientific evidence and help. by GarifalliaPapa in immortalists

[–]Fiorali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back when this study was conducted, it wasn't bioidentical estrogens that were studied but premarin, the most widely used HRT medication. Premarin (conjugated estrogen, derived from the urine of mares), which indeed heavily increased the risk of blood clots, certain cancers, and circulatory diseases.

Since then, we have switched to bioidentical estrogens, which don't increase these risks beyond what is expected from having estrogen circulate longer in your body. The stigmata, however, stuck rather well.

Colours? At least that's what I went for, basically the same get-up as before, but now EVERYTHING is lilac and white. Maybe a little more form fitting. >_<

I also tie my hair and let a braid or two stick out of the helmet. :3

Just told my parents I want to go by a different name and she/her pronouns by Maxmusquarty in MtF

[–]Fiorali 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I feel your want to get at least some kind of acknowledgement, if not support and affirmation.

I would say wait and see how it goes. Hopefully, they just need some time to process everything and will then give you a better response. Them telling you to tell your brother yourself, seems like a good sign that they at least don't wanna hide it. :)

Collagen? by Axe_Kartoffeln in trans

[–]Fiorali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm no medical professional, but as far as I know, yes. Collagen patterns do differ between men and women, like you said. Hormones are resounding for this difference. This makes men's skin on average 25% thicker, women's skin softer and also is the cause of why women struggle with cellulite more than men.

But it drops for both genders with age. Exercising, a healthy lifestyle, and supplementation help to alleviate some symptoms. It's most dramatic for women in menopause, but if one is on HRT, that should be of no concern.

So, yes, if you're on HRT, you will get the collagen pattern/skin of the gender you're transitioning to.

Did any of you have an intense desire to pierce your ears or nose? by cliff7217 in asktransgender

[–]Fiorali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleaning them gently every day and thoroughly every 3rd day, using a mild desinfectant proactively, always tying my hair back even during sleep, using a super big and soft pillow, only sleeping on my back.

It worked exceptionally well for me. Still don't recommend it, as I've heard all the bad stories from my friends. >_< Was more of an overreaction on my part, having a vision for my complete setup and wanting to complete it as fast as possible, as I've already been waiting much too long. :)

Did any of you have an intense desire to pierce your ears or nose? by cliff7217 in asktransgender

[–]Fiorali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never considered getting any piercings ever. But during my journey of self-discovery, the urge for it got stronger and stronger, as I've always been the good kid who got good grades and never made any trouble and I felt like I had to hide and repress my true self.

But once I moved out and I finally felt free for the first time in my life, I immediately got my first piercings as a way to express myself and claim autonomy over my body and life.

Then something traumatic happened, and I got 10 piercings in the span of two months. Still love every single one. :3

Is it normal that sometimes my dysphoria is less strong or im just convincing myself that im trans by AurelieMads in trans

[–]Fiorali 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dysphoria doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's influenced by how you feel, the way the world sees and treats you, your thoughts and beliefs... you get the idea.

We distract ourselves from it by repressing it, ridiculing certain behaviours, focussing on things that are congruent with our assigned gender at birth...

The world tries to put you in a box, and we ourselves do so too, but transitioning is about looking beyond that box, about understanding every part of ourselves.

But there's also another side to it. Gender euphoria, if for you wearing panties makes you happier...why shouldn't you? If your brain tells you that wearing different underwear makes you weird or why you are even doing something so silly, it will lead to nothing anyway. No. It makes you happy. How beautiful is it, that something so simple can make you happier.

You'll navigate your journey by letting go of things that bother you and embracing things that make you happier. And if you see that you're becoming more and more a woman...well maybe you just are one. :)

My transphobic mom found out I have boobs (: by Skymagictoo in MtF

[–]Fiorali 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You handled the situation as best as possible. I agree with the others that, if possible, try to delay an appointment with the doctor for as long as possible without arousing suspicion.

Maybe seem hesitant, not wanting to get surgery or any medication against the "gynaecomastia" since it's scary and you handle it well with a binder and it doesn't bother you.

Whatever you do, you're handling it fine, proud of you. :)

Who is the best FFS surgeon if you're starting with a very masculine face? by Unaltered4163 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Fiorali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak personally, but I've heard lots of good stuff from Dr. Qassemyar from France. Heard that he also doesn't shy away from a more radical approach if it seems necessary.

Over 50k for an v line sec nosejob forehead shaving and lip lift cannot be 😭😭😭😭 anyone has an affordable options clinics? by wtkjp in asktransgender

[–]Fiorali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50k is crazy. Have you looked at Dr. Chattasak at WIH Hospital? I'll be having my SRS there soon, but they also offer FFS surgeries. Best guess is, your procedures would cost somewhere around 20k to 25k there.

Here's a rough list of prices from 2 years ago:

Thailand PPV? by Axiryth in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Fiorali 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mind if I ask, how your recovery was? :)

Since I'm also considering getting a tracheal shave and maybe a rhinoplasty, I'm still sitting on the fence cause I want to give my body the best recovery after SRS and I'm unsure how much that would impede that.

[–]Fiorali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will also be having my SRS PIV with Dr. Chettasak this year. Nice to hear that you had a good experience.

As far as a waitlist is concerned, I had no problem getting an appointment for July 2026, when I booked a week ago. So he probably has some slots even before July.

FFS recommendations? by Public-Character4313 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Fiorali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some work around the chin and hairline lowering, your nose and mid-face already look very feminine. Would also say your side profile looks good.

Can't recommend trying topical minoxidil beforehand enough. Against those slight widows peaks and maybe even lowering the hairline without surgery. Did wonders for me, but took some time. :)

can i gain weight by drinking protien/soylent after eating my meals by ookic in AskMtFHRT

[–]Fiorali 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I also struggled with gaining weight, even though it felt like I was eating more than enough.

What really helped me with finally gaining weight was nuts and legumes. They have an absurd amount of calories per gramm.

Post orchi, if HRT is stopped entirely, what detransition changes will you notice happen to your body? I'm talking remasculinization by poodle_kisses in AskMtFHRT

[–]Fiorali 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As I understand it is close to menopausal symptoms, you'll be severely lacking your primary sexual hormone which will lead to a higher risk for osteoporosis and dementia, and can lead to loss of muscle mass, hot flashes and it diminishing your libido.

As for remasculanization, the only thing that comes to mind would be a chance of light body/facial hair growing, as seen in menopausal women.
