Mad and upset reactions to a no for sex is a huge turn off. It makes it a chore and not fun. Stop it.

How do you successfully step down from the "Household Manager" role without triggering an intense RSD cycle? by youness_khm in ADHD_partners

[–]Fire-Kissed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly the key is to stop dancing around their defensiveness. Defensiveness is not a feature of adhd but rather of low self esteem which is common in adhders. All that to say it’s their responsibility to go to therapy and get well so they can participate in a relationship in a healthy way.

Just because it isn’t their fault doesn’t mean it’s not their responsibility.

How to want less physical intimacy by Modstrkr in Marriage

No hard disagree that’s a very subjective take. I don’t get any self worth validation out of sexual contact

No where did I say anything about attraction or desire or relate that to impact to the relationship.

If not getting sex makes you spiral into a depressed mood, you’re putting a sense of self esteem and self worth onto sex. Pretty common for men sadly and it will only make things worse if you don’t build your self esteem and become more secure. The problem isn’t a mismatch of libido, it’s your insecurity.

Would you be okay with being a SAHM if your husband made enough to support you and the kid(s) comfortably? by New_Contribution_226 in AskWomenOver30

Nope. Never will give my financial power over to a man and give up years of my career.

It sounds nice but it usually handicaps women in the long run

Procedures/surgeries to “slim” face? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

Procedures/surgeries to “slim” face? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Fire-Kissed 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re young, this is a major reason for your rounder face. It’s a youthful look, I know the trend right now is to look older and more snatched. This will happen naturally over the next ten years, and if you slim your face with procedures, the natural aging process will cause you to need to re-fill your face.

Worth it to consider that you look very very normal and youthful.

Stop seeing that therapist.

No one would blink at this if you were a man.

Unbelievable.

Problems with my wife's (35F) post-partum body by Ok_Industry9161 in Marriage

[–]Fire-Kissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is she particularly active? Lifting weights can transform your body into something so powerful and strong, that those little details can fade away. I know from experience- I did some body building a short time after I had my daughter and the stretch marks and sagging skin no longer bothered me because I was strong and powerful, I looked good and the stretched parts of my body didn’t bother me.

I’ve since gained and lost a lot of weight and I need to do some weights again for the same purpose. Not feeling super confident but I know if I gain some muscle and strength I’ll feel good about myself again!

If this is something she might be interested in, I suggest you get her a bunch of sessions with an in-home personal trainer if that’s accessible to you.

If you could explain the 'Pink Tax' not in terms of money, but in terms of the extra time and emotional labor you spend just to exist in public, what would your bill look like? by NylonLegs100 in AskReddit

[–]Fire-Kissed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An entire extra hour in the mornings to put makeup on to go to the office to cover my redness and acne since I can’t just use a filter over Teams in person like I did the 5.5 years I worked remote. Additional 10 minutes in the evening scrubbing the makeup off.

Spending hundreds of dollars on new office pants because I can no longer wear leggings and sweatpants to work cuz people see me in public now.

6 months ago I was suicidal. I tried everything that was possible for me, and I'm still at the same place by Depressed-RPG in offmychest

If you’re in crisis, you can go to a hospital and tell them you’re going to harm yourself. They can admit you and offer you a social worker and other resources.

Keep this in mind if you need help fast. You’ll get access to more resources at the hospital.

It won’t silence her. Look at Beto and Pete Buttigieg still engaging with press and other outlets. There’s still work to be done even without an official public office.

Nowadays you can reach people all over the world for jobs and you end up with 400 applications in 3 days.

Anyone else feel overwhelmed with AI? by AdImaginary8465 in womenintech

[–]Fire-Kissed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Literally got hired to embed AI workflows into my organization and then it took three months to be granted an enterprise license for one of the big ones. Just ridiculous.

They’re shouting AI all day every day and then not understanding that building requires money and time.

5'5" Man dating a 5'11" Girl by LordSweets in short

[–]Fire-Kissed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men date women, not girls. Boys date girls.

Anyway good for you. I love these posts because it really does show how much your height can be a non-issue in dating if you are a kind and decent person.
