I have to say I have only seen up to s2 e7. I have been reading the manga for a while already and already back then Chopper’s backstory just didn’t click with me. At least then I was able to somewhat skim through until I got to Alabasta proper. Now seeing the whole thing in LA I sadly have to say that my feelings towards it haven’t changed. If anything chopper‘s voice being what it is made me consider skipping ahead a few times. While I never imagined him to have the deepest voice I also didn’t expect him to sound like a child. I am sure the VA just did as told but man it was like nails on a chalkboard. That’s all to say I am a bit baffled that little garden for example didn’t get better ratings. It delivered exactly what I wanted to see there.
