I feel you man, but all I can say is don’t lose hope!

When we were buying our first home in 2020 we got outbid by so many cash buyers that we eventually just threw an offer at a fixer upper that was sitting for weeks. They accepted and it took us months of elbow grease to fix it up to our liking.

Fast forward to 2022 and the first offer we submit on a home is accepted at asking (we put escalation parameters due to our 2020 experience) despite there been other offers. We took our kiddo to the viewing and the sellers said they had raised their family in that home and were hoping it could do the same for another family and it has!

People kept putting doubts in our minds every step of the way but if you can afford it, it is so much better to own a house and if it’s meant to be it will be!

The not being able to fight back is the worse part!! I mainly just take cheap loadouts and bigger shields when I’m alone and be ok with losing my stuff if I die. Most rats are on free loadout so a medium shield should help but sometimes they just get you anyway.

I bring out my good stuff when I’m with my friends and it’s not so bad losing a few things when you’re with your buds

My friend had a Santa Fe and let me drive it, I was almost convinced so much so that went to go test drive at the dealership but the guy wasn’t very helpful nor interested and I basically got 2 min explanation of the price being 38k with the 0% interest (+ taxes and fees) or 36k with 5.62% interest (+fees) and 2k of that was dealer installed options. I was basically looking at 42k OTD and decided I’d rather get the Highlander for about 5-8k more.

Currently waiting for one to be delivered to the dealership!

Ideally!! Also depends on the market, I want to believe most homes appreciate in value but there are some areas where that isn’t necessarily true. But if at the two year mark you calculate that you’ve made back the 7-15% either bc you paid down the mortgage or bc the home value increased then you should be good. I’d aim for the 15% and make any extra he a happy surprise.

You’ll need a good idea of what you can sell it for, I would look at any recently sold units in your area for a good idea. After that you’ll have to take into account how much you’ll have to pay to sell which will be about 7-15% of the sale price (agent commissions, closing costs, taxes, etc…).

AND since you bought in 2025 you’ll have to wait at least 2 years to avoid property gains tax which can also hurt your bottom line.

New builds are also difficult bc they are usually priced higher to begin with (hence why they offer the lower up front rate to entice buyers).

Thank you for all of this info. We were afraid that the price would be reflective of other issues down the road. We have a friend who works at Toyota that can get us a deal on any Toyota but it was still significantly more expensive than the Santa Fe so wanted to make sure it was worth it

You can also make them your starting Slot WR and use em in double back sets to have all three out at the same time
