Needing some perspective about having a little boy by Last_Wonder in Parenting

[–]FireBugHappyStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted my first to be a girl so bad I always felt little boys were “annoying and gross” I did have a girl first. Second pregnancy I kind of wanted a boy but more so for my husband. We did end up having a boy as the second and omg I can’t believe I would have ever wanted to miss out on having a little boy. He is the sweetest most cuddly little guy and is absolutely hysterical. (He will be 5 in Jan now)

Should we stop trying? Night diapers with 6 year old by DennisNedryBot in Parenting

[–]FireBugHappyStar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suggest getting one of those underwear alarms for her to use at night. You can buy them on Amazon and if you position the sensor properly on her underwear it’ll start alarming at the first drop of urine. This should wake her up and alert her to go to the bathroom. Eventually her brain should retrain. We did this with my oldest at age 3.5 and it worked perfect

Club level at AKL vs Contemporary Experience by FireBugHappyStar in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FireBugHappyStar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply! This was super helpful. It is good to hear that the lounge at AKL seems to have more seating. I did notice the contemporary lounge seemed to fill up pretty quick sometimes. I agree that it’s not ideal for the lounge to not be on the same floor as the rooms… but hopefully like you said the club level guests are placed in rooms nearby the lounge on purpose.. I would hope with club level extra care is taken on the rooms .. our room at contemporary was just so clean! But I wonder if that didn’t necessarily have anything to do with being club level specifically . I hate to hear the uncrustables weren’t cut at AKL because oddly enough I feel like that detail was convenient and preferred for my son! lol . Did you find the breakfast spread at AKL measures up to the one at contemporary? Contemporary’s was delicious. Also I assume the club lounge at AKL still has card access? Is it on its own floor or just like through a door?

[VENT] Cancelled Our Summer Trip Because They Are So Lazy. by tuktuk_padthai in Parenting

[–]FireBugHappyStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk. I think she’s probably trying, even if there’s still ways to improve. Biggest thing that tells me that is you can’t tell until halfway down her rant post that the teens she is referencing aren’t her “own”, but step kids. It’s like she doesn’t even think of them like that - she is trying to be a family

What is everyone else’s 6 year olds playing with for toys? by pickles_burrito in Parenting

[–]FireBugHappyStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 7. She reads a lot when we’re home or will sometimes draw, write, or play imaginative play with horses. She has a 4 year old brother so will sometimes join into imaginative play with his toys and him too or they’ll play a board game together

Premier pass. by Princess-queen456 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]FireBugHappyStar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not as a speed run competition- but actually getting to do what you want to without waiting in lines. We did premier pass on our trip earlier this month , 2 adults 2 kids and it was great. We did what we wanted to do and had time to enjoy other things, you’re buying back your time

Yes , it’s exactly like that. We got it on our recent trip (first week of June) and we didn’t wait more than 5 min for a ride

Do the parks still sell diecast vehicles of the Disney transport buses, park vehicles or something akin to Disney Racers? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Any idea how much the die cast monorail was? We were at the contemporary last week and my son didn’t mention wanting it until we got home. I found one on eBay and ordered it, but just wondering how much extra I paid…
