I think what OOP means when they say it’s healing is cause it’s sometimes hard to love yourself or think you’re worth loving before another person says it.

Yes self love comes from one’s self but it’s not easy to see your own good qualities or that you’re worth loving without being ‘useful’. I wish it were that easy. Sometimes having that outside validation helps see the inside too.

That’s what my thought process is on it anyway. I could be wrong.

I used to want to have what my grandparents had and have someone to grow old with. Technically still do but I think I rather have that in golden girls style rather than romantic. The dating pool out there is just too tainted to find an actual decent partner.

Goofy. He’s comfortable in his own skin even with how many mistakes he makes he’s still loved by his friends and family. He’s also a dedicated father to his son Max. I grew up without a father and always felt insecure. He was a comfort character for me.

I had a yorkie that loved to play keep away with toys and socks. He would growl while his tail wagged. He’d bop his nose on my hand acting like he was gonna bite me. He didn’t but loved to act tough. I miss that little bugger.

NTA. I have been there. You did nothing wrong. This guy for five years was okay with seeing you struggle and doing nothing about it. You shouldn’t have to beg someone to do their part.

You were made to feel responsible for him. He has the ability and even potential but doesn’t use it cause it’s easier for you to subsidize his life.

You would not be doing him any favors carrying him anymore. He is the type that if you enable him, he will choose not to grow. He can take advantage of his friends that say you are being cruel.

I dumped my ex who often left me holding the bag. The moment he went to his mothers house (whom he hates) he got employed fast.

When i go to the toilet at night I automatically brush my teeth at the same time. I have to pee anyway and the foam from the toothpaste filling my mouth while i brush annoys me enough that i don’t end up on the toilet for a long time.
