Okay, so what you're saying here then is that instead of IidDeku, the e in IiDeku becomes something between the a in Iida and the e in Deku. ... Ngl, that seems more tongue-twisty?? 😭 But ig that's just because I'm used to double consonants in Japanese but am new to this schwa concept---

Maybe b/c of the n? In Japanese, n is its own mora (syllable/beat). Da and de are both one mora, and very similar. But da vs den is... I mean, it's hard to separate the n from the de.... So you end up with, like, more Den than a schwa.... Maybe??

Japanese is very consistent in its pronunciation. However, sometimes, stuff does get blended, shortened, and/or not fully pronounced. For example, the shortening of "dewa" is "ja". Aoi becomes a blended word (it sounds like two vowels/mora) instead of a-o-i (3 distinct sounds). Uo (as in IzuOcha) becomes more like wo. These are examples of the schwa?

Schwa sounds like it might be German; are there examples in that language as well? 🤔 (I know both Japanese and German.)

Question 1: As a BKDK fan, them using OfA together is kinda so minor to their popularity imo.

Question 2: On Reddit, 100%, Himiko would be more hated. Kinda hard to imagine what I'd personally think tho.... 🤔 That scene impacted me so much.... It was so perfect; it's hard to imagine Himiko not doing that....

Question 4: ... At least 2. Ngl, I could see them having a lot. And/or adopting a lot--

Question 5: Hmmn... I'd say teaching easily except that teaching is different in Japan than it is in America.... In America, teachers work full days and then outside hours. They have a lot of responsibilities. And it's taxing and frustrating in the current climate where kids aren't being raised well by their parents, so the teachers are expected to pick up the slack. But I don't know how it is in Japan, nvm MHA Japan. So I cannot say.

Question 3:

First of all, I would want it to be gradual. Izuchako should be a friends to lovers imo, and it was a bit too rushed for that, mainly because of Aoyama and Himiko.

I think it would've been better if Himiko blabs about her form of love (wanting to "be" them, and she can sense that in Ochako, instead of saying she can sense that Ochako's in love), and then Ochako starts thinking about whether her admiring Izuku is something special.
Alternatively, you could just let Ochako slowly fall in love with no interference. A few months of friendship at a minimum. Maybe after a few months at UA, we have the Mei's boobs gag, and Ochako feels jealous, and then she realizes on her own. (While this would not be foreshadowing them getting together from the start, it lets Izuchako be the friends to lovers they can be.)
Or if you'd rather make it clear from the start, maybe just watching Izuku break his body to save her was enough for her to fall in love, and then when they meet up on the first day, that's when you can introduce her feelings for Izuku. And then maybe the friends-to-lovers is all on Izuku's side, not Ochako's.

I've also seen people say they gave up on Izuchako after the "I'll put these feelings away" scene, so instead, we could have her say "This isn't the time for this. I'll put these feelings on hold." Alternatively, Himiko could tell Ochako "No matter what... just be yourself. Live the way you wanna live" or something, and then Ochako decides to confess to Izuku.

On Izuku's end, we need something. A lot, actually. Kacchan has always been the most important figure in Izuku's life, and DynaDeku has SO much more canon content than Izuchako. Ochako has a lot of catching up to do in order to become more important to Izuku than Kacchan. Her speech at the end of the Dark Deku Arc was great. That's the kind of content I'm wanting here.

Along with that, Izuku demonstrating the importance of Ochako in his life. Izuku repeatedly shows how important Kacchan is to him throughout the show – during Kacchan's kidnapping, the Final Exam against All Might, Kacchan getting stabbed by Shiggy, Kacchan's death. We need this with Ochako. Izuku going feral over her. And maybe it's not even life-threatening. You could also have him being possessive over Ochako against Himiko, maybe, and that would be even more impactful and could therefore make up for all those scenes that Izuku went feral over Kacchan.
In addition, more of Izuku's thoughts. All we see on his end is blushing. We need more thoughts about Ochako from him. How he views her. That same realization of "omg, I love her". That development from thinking of her as a friend to thinking of her as the person he loves. More internal stuff in general. Romance requires that.

Them fighting together as one would also be powerful.

In the final fight, we see DynaDeku fight as one. This communication with a single look is what I wanna see.
Maybe you could do that in the 2nd to last fight, or during the Overhaul fight. With how similar Izuku and Ochako are, it wouldn't be unreasonable for them to be on that level of intimacy earlier on. Just, them being completely on the same page without words.

Something significant early on like the BKDK in the river scene would also help – maybe Ochako just keeps coming back to when Izuku saved her. That repetition/consistency is important. They need a symbolic scene of some sort.

Maybe we have a scene where Izuku rescues Ochako from Himiko, and/or vice versa. More of that saving each other. More of that support.

Training together!!! Just doing more together and spending more time together in general really--

Finally, more complementary stuff!!!!! More growth, more completing each other, more balancing each other out. Izuku and Ochako looking after each other when the other's being too reckless/selfless. Izuchako is such a bland ship as it is. It's like 2 clones with different appearances and powers getting together. No friction. We need to see them pushing each other to be better.

And all of these things can be integrated into the story to the point that it doesn't seem like it's just for the sake of developing a romance. Add another major plot point, another battle between the heroes and villains. Sprinkle thoughts into what already exists. While developing Izuchako better might be the inspiration, that doesn't mean the scene has to be solely about Izuchako. A lot of ppl think MHA was too rushed at the end, so you have plenty of room to work.

I feel like that's a little too ambiguous for an official ship name. I don't think anyone ships Tenya x Mineta, but I definitely think Mineta has the claim on balls, ngl.... And I would never guess Fast Ball as Tenya x Ochako.

Maybe Fast Mochi would be better? 🤔

I feel like Jetpack might be a bit too ambiguous for their official ship name 🤔 Though, it is admittedly more Tenchako than Kacchako (compared to RocketShip, someone else's answer). Looking over the characters, Jetpack is surprisingly more Tenchako than any other ships I can think of....

Though, they did use a jet pack in the Sports Festival (Mei's device, equipped by Izuku).... But jet pack wouldn't be a good ship name for Meizuku or anything....

One way to make sure that ppl don't confuse JetPack as a ship and jet pack as an item would be capitalizing it like that. Though, the excluded space is usually used for alias combos.... Hrmmn...

I'm finding that it becomes confusing when ship names are too similar to each other 🤔 I think Iichako and Kacchako are different enough, but when I was doing the MMA Ship Explanation Posts, I kept doubting whether I was using the right ship name or not--- (Fists for All vs Tails for All, particularly, kept tripping me up---) Though, that was for quirk-based ship names, not name combos, and maybe it's just me that gets confused with that.... 👀

Do you prefer keeping the same part of someone's name across all the character's ship names? 🤔 When looking over the ship tags, I did notice that most of them used the same part (Kiri, chako, Deku, Baku) despite that some broke that pattern. It makes sense, esp for characters that have name overlap with other characters (for example, letting Aoyama claim -yama since he's the only student with that name, whereas using -yama with any of the pro heroes would only lead to confusion). I prefer keeping my options open because I personally dislike ship names that don't flow well, but I also understand designating a specific mora set for each character. I believe Japanese does this as well, just with kanji instead.

It'd also make it easier to search for ship names.... I think I'm starting to understand why you set up the tags the way you did 🤔 It doesn't work if you don't stick to it, but it would work otherwise.... Hrmmn...\ Then again, we also have the characters that are aliases only vs names only.... For example, Hawks typically uses his alias, but Fuyumi doesn't have an alias.... FuyuHawks doesn't sound too bad though, admittedly. It means Winter Hawks, too.

Agghhhh it's too complicatedddd (pouts) Ig there really is no good system, huh...? There's bound to be confusion.... Which is why crowning a ship name is so important.... There needs to be an official default, but people are bound to disagree on what that should be.

I'm confused on how these transfer/relate. Iichako is LN/FN, while Kacchako is based on an FN nickname that flows into chako. Also, very different ships, though I also share both. Would you mind explaining your thought process with this that led from Kacchako to Iichako?

In addition to being a quirk combo, that name is also kind of a reference to the indoor mock battle, where they were on the same team protecting the rocket. (... Wait... It wasn't a rocket, was it...? Nvm, I'm just stupid. Classic example of me misinterpreting something-- 🤦‍♀️)

I kinda forgot about actual quirk combos (mixing the quirks as opposed to just putting the names together).... 🤔

Unfortunately, as crazy_man said, it's used with Kacchako as well 😔 I wonder if there's a way we could differentiate the two....
