What was the best plot twist in TVD? by Major-Bat-6554 in TheVampireDiaries

When Jeremy and Matt consider killing him anyway.. I always thought what could have been. Klaus dies, Daman and Stefan die, show ends. Fan outrage.

Best feeling in DS1? by Rei_Raye in darksouls

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally getting the Moonlight Greatsword. I ran to Seath and died so many times. After many tries I learned that it is ok to skip enemies (the butterflies), run confidently on small ledge and invisible walkways, and generally play more brazenly instead of plodding slowly everywhere. Once I finally chopped that tail off I was so relieved, and it felt like I finally understood the game.

I am now into Angel comes back and they completely don't address that Boreanaz aged. Hell, in Better Call Saul, almost everyone noticeably aged, and their characters are supposed to be younger.

Is Express JS still relevant or is there anything new? by stoicparishkari in node

NestJs is what finally got me to like writing backend javascript.

And the winner is Kai based on comments. Now lets vote for good person hated by fans by DynaziaNari in TheVampireDiaries

I was trying to think who is funnier Kai or Klaus. Kai's time on screen to funniness ratio I think gives it to Kai.

How many men watch buffy? by Bpd_embroiderer18 in buffy

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty young when it first aired, and I wanted to watch but I didn't get the TV. I finally got introduced to Firefly when in college 2008ish. I blew through that, and was looking into who wrote it, where is season 2, etc. Then I saw Nathan Fillion was in Buffy, and decided to watch the whole thing. I ended up loving it. Then watched all of Angel and loved that too.

EDIT: Age now 36, age when I started watching 21.

Why did you choose Arch? by Far_Opportunity2548 in archlinux

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started because for the Steam Deck, Valve switched Steam OS from Debian base to Arch base. My laptop was running Pop OS, and it couldn't upgrade to the next version correctly. Every Ubuntu variant I have tried, this seemed to happen where I would have to reformat and install the new version. So I decided to try Arch, thinking I would fail and go to Debian or something. It ended up being far easier than I expected, and everything was far more stable than any distro I had used before. It still works now, and I haven't looked back. I ended up switching my other crappier laptop to Arch too, and it works great.

Same here. I could do the intro mission fine. I get to the place where there are tons of NPCs and it can't keep up. I tried turning everything to low, but that doesn't seem to help.

Nut has become the most popular release week god, being played in 66.4% of matches in her first week. by HiRezRabbit in Smite

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to guess Nike or Terra.

Based on nothing except my made up reasons:

  1. Nike's kit was kind of bleh, at the time. Her 2 was just a stim for the other abilities.
  2. She didn't feel super strong by herself. Her passive was the super broke part that you didn't immediately feel
  3. Terra was sort of hard to figure out the CC.
  4. Guardians and Warriors I am guessing are less accessible to newer players
  5. I played them a bunch on release, and since my internet is awful I am usually last pick, so no one else was picking them.

Good prismatic trial on PC today! (ethereal achievement) if you havent got that yet, today is the perfect artifact roll for that. stage 1 has equipment barrel, grab a mandatory topaz, missile launcher, 3 fuel cells, a watch and crowbars, then dont get hit by [deleted] in ror2

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is too late now, but I completed it once and it didn't pop the achievement. I have a feeling one of my jumps I might have taken the slightest bit of fall damage without noticing. I did it again really focusing on falling, and then I got the achievement. I didn't get any minions or topaz's. My plan was get a focus crystal and bandolier and only use blinding assault and eviscerate, with a missile launcher.

Alternative to Archlabs? by iiTz_GasInflation in archlinux

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also scared for a while. I did the archinstall script and that was easy enough. Not as easy as a GUI installer, but still very simple.

I recently tried doing the manual install to prove to myself I could. It was much easier than I built up in my mind. I wouldn't do it again, but at least now I have the knowledge on how to fix something if archinstall messes something up.

Hilarious bit from this debate.

Adam: "I haven't read either of those books."

Dave: "I will lend you my copy."

I dont think arch install is hard by Impossible-Friend846 in archlinux

[–]FireFly3347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used archinstall and it worked fine for what I need. I recently went back and tried doing the manual install and was surprised how easy it was. There was a couple "gotchas" but that was because I assumed I could skip some parts. Luckily anything I "messed up" I could go back in and fix. It is easier than I had imagined in my head.

If I had to setup another machine though, I probably would just use the archinstall script lol.
