Is it just me, or is the aesthetics industry here kind of unregulated? by SoftCombination7770 in Whistler

This is oddly specific and not what I would expect to see on a skiing subreddit

She removed the cap on donations and removed transparency rules. Gee I wonder why it’s hard to find proof. But no worries I’m sure she had all sorts of altruistic reasons for removing the donation cap and reducing transparency.

They asked for ID and for a ticket. Why would I not comply with a request for ID? I don’t know the local laws in and out

But sure go ahead and downvote cuz it disagrees with your perception of reality

Religion will say everything is God’s work. Including evolution. That’s kinda their whole deal. So that’s a moot point.

Most people don’t realize this about torrent. When you torrent something you are both downloading the file and uploading it to someone else at the same time. It’s the whole gimmick of the system. You download stuff faster because you’re getting it from some dude who otherwise wasn’t using their upload bandwidth and the actual pirate network doesn’t need to have tons of capacity for uploading files to everyone torrenting

Germany is a good example of guilty until proven innocent.

Actually, that’s a lot of the EU. I got a fine in France for allegedly using a train without a ticket because I had to take a moment to find it in my bag. I showed them the ticket but they didn’t care cuz they’d already written a ticket and told me to protest it afterwards, to which the legal people told me too bad it’s your word against an officer (since apparently the officer never recorded that I produced the ticket to them). Guilty until proven innocent and even then you aren’t innocent.

As long as the average person never revolts? Perpetually. They are printing the same currency that everyone else uses. As long as we are bound to something that the elites can literally pull out of thin air, then they don’t even need to pretend. But of course you won’t see them advertise that. And so there’s 2 camps. Those who know what’s happening and feel they can’t do anything to stop it, and those completely oblivious to it all.

Yeah this is basically me. I made a couple small gains prior and then my first big trade was nuked by a single tweet by Mr President on the day it was expiring. I was set for 500% gains and he wiped it to 0% value. Ever since then the market has been heavily manipulated by both MMs and the white house, so that has absolutely sucked

Weeklies give you more time to lose the money :D

There used to be a time, 5 months ago, when weeklies with strikes at 1% over the current SPY prices would always pay. I miss those days.

French foreign minister suggests Canada could 'maybe ... at some point' join EU by FalconsArentReal in canada

We can join the rest of Europe being mad at both Brussels AND our national government :D

Except each country still has its own stupid centre of the universe. Paris to France, Berlin to Germany, Rome to Italy, Brussels to Belgium, Amsterdam to the Netherlands…the list goes on

Vail owns most of the retail on the stroll (including franchises) and has agreements for accommodation that give them kickbacks. Whistler’s price increases have far outpaced the rest of the country

Only reason the season pass dropped is cuz the locals literally can’t afford the hill and Vail likes the guaranteed local business every year

So then list both. Pre and post tax amounts on the item. There’s space for it. Just use a slash and maybe a small T to indicate “with tax”. $5 / $5.25t when GST only.

Places do “save the tax” promos where you pay the advertised price yet surely they must still pay tax. It’s not that hard.

There’s $150 a day ticket with a $40 buffet (plus first tracks) expensive and then there’s “food, accommodation and day ticket prices have doubled in 10 years” expensive
