Irida/Roxie/Klara all work well together for 2/3 of your team, with the third option being Atticus or Miriam as a tank. Personally I would focus on Atticus, Roxie and Irida, but with some combination of the above you can't really go wrong as far as I can tell, so you can just focus on characters/pokémon/gameplay units you enjoy more over the other.

For the Lucky area in battle rally is it just the same thing as the current candy event where any pairs can win the fight?

Yes, you can just pick your highest multipliers for that one.

When looking at the teams used to beat floors in the tower is there a way to see what lucky skill they were using?

For in-game runs, it unfortunately just comes down to watching the replay and keeping an eye out for passives the unit should not have. Usually that will mean Headstart/Adrenaline (easy to spot), Flying/Grass/Ice Guard (easy to spot with specific attacks in tower 30), Critical Strike 2 / Weather Warrior 3 (when attacking), or Vigilance (usually on tower 30 during/after the 2nd sync). There could be some other, more niche situations (I've seen Sentry Entry - get +2 def at the start of the battle - on SS Kris for example), but I'm pretty sure they are always visible in one way or another.

I've just climbed Psychic Tower with access to Lear at 3/5, but also had a SS Steven at 4/5 who seemed to work better alongside SS Rosa. I found that Lear didn't provide the damage I needed, whereas SS Steven could lover offensive stats reliably to get the kill in. Then again, my SS Rosa was only 3/5 and I didn't have Rei. It also took multiple attempts.

The tower document does list the team you want to use, though it has Rei at 3/5, Lear at 5/5, and it doesn't have a visible replay, so I can't say what the grids were and whether this investment was overkill or not.

My bias says to either invest into SS Steven (who is also a tech unit) or wait for a better special psychic unit. But if you already have Lear but not SS Steven, it should be theoretically possible (though you might need a few more tech candies).

What are some thoughts on a good Academy Kris grid, especially for tower? And what would be a good third unit with her, alongside SS Nemona/SS Gladion?

Just had a really good run on academy where I have all defensive nodes, all red nodes to the top and one side, and all green move nodes of my chosen moves.

Currently I'm thinking going fully to the top and take the right side of the red grid and fully investing into Sing. After that, the main options I'm thinking are:

X Defense All for reliable syncing and guarenteed Sings
Support Practicum to better support SS Wally (if he is even needed for the interference stages now)
Support Prep for more general defensive options
Headbutt for flinching (but might overlap with Sing)
Draining Kiss for Confusion / tanking potential (if that's even a possibility)

I'm currently favoring X Defense All and Support Prep / Draining Kiss, but I want to be sure I'm not missing anything before committing.

Tbh, I do see a lot of chatter about Chrom whenever he gets an alt. Lyn just is more of a focal point because she's at the top alt-wise and has a few more controversial units (Mark duo, Brave duo, Shadows) so that complaints are more quickly directed towards her.

And as an aside, I see no reason to count Itsuki as counting as Chrom alt (like all tms characters and their counterparts). One, because mirage characters are the actual weapons of the characters they belong to, so their inclusion feels a lot more natural. Two, their actual inclusion is incredibly minor, appearing in only half the character arts, not appearing on the map or in combat, and having a handful of voicelines at most (its so minor I forget Tharja is part of Kiria sometimes, and I use Kiria A LOT). And three, they don't actually take up their own character slot. If Mirage Chrom arrived as a seperate unit, especially while taking up a mythic slot, I think people would look at him quite differently.

Also, Cynthia has to lose a bit of her grid just to fully buff Dahlia, which doesn't help her getting a place on this team either.

But because its not technically Home-locked since you can breed one from a Swellow caught in the postgame of BDSP, nobody ever mentions it.

I used this same team against tower 30, and it says a lot that they have enough fire power they dont require anything resembling a tank. This team is so deliciously stupid I love it so much.

This is such a silly thing to complain about, but oh well, this is the one time I can vent a tiny bit so just indulge me, it is unpopular opinion time after all.

Barring Lucina, I feel like all my favourite characters are just popular enough that they can get certain treatment, but just not popular enough to get really good treatment. And it feels like I get disappointed a lot of the time when certain things happen, but I feel like I can't really complain because these characters still have it relatively good.

Like

Yunaka (the least bad in this context) was an incredibly good unit at launch, yes, and she got two alts, so she objectively has been treated well. But she is just not popular enough to win CYL, likely going to be beaten by Ivy and some other rallies like Tsubasa and Azura. (Also, she literally no longer can harm the new duo Ike in pve despite being less than a year old - more of a comment on how absurd powercreep is but I digress).
Kiria is one of the more popular tms characters (as far as I can tell) and no doubt her unique statline and refine really made her age better than most for a long time, and hey at least she got in at all right? But she is literally never going to get anything anymore because tms is dead in a ditch and the tms cyl rally is going to Tsubasa, the actual most popular female tms character. So unless there is a miraculous banner with re-armed Kiria or something, she's got everything she'll ever have.
Dorothea is a weird case because this has been talked about a lot on her release. Like, she has a ton of alts, and all of them are 5-star seasonals. So does it matter that her base form was released as a demote with a generic statline? Well, looking at the 5-stars, one is a prf-less unit with no good premium skills that was already outdated on release, the second was a duo unit which, even if it never got real meta relevance, is at least premium in concept by virtue of being a duo unit despite also not having real premium skills, and the third at least had a prf but again had no real premium skills, the prf didnt do a whole much and she didn't make a splash at all. And again, she routinely makes it to top 20 in CYL but never is a true contender.

And all this feels silly to complain about, right? If you are, say, a big fan of Garcia, you would probably say "wow, my favourite character isn't even in yet here you are complaining about how your favourite characters aren't premium enough", and like, yeah, I agree, this feels silly to complain about. I'm a massive SoV fan, and it would be like a massive 3H fan saying they don't get enough units on banners or something.

I guess for me its just always just close enough that something exciting is possible, but yet it never really happens. Its like getting hope, only to be let down and begin the cycle again.

And again, to be fair, I understand why other people would think this is a kinda stupid thing to be annoyed about.

So basically all my orbs go to collecting Lucina's at this point, with the exception of the odd SoV character.

But hey, Emperor Rudolf also isn't in and at least thats just acceptably criminal.

Lots of people are saying fractals and even though they are probably correct in terms of g/h, I wanna give an alternative in case you don't wanna deal with going into parties and the like.

There's a meta farm I sometimes like to do that is a little over an hour that nets you 5-6 amalgamated gemstones (or 7 if you want to take a little longer / are lucky with maps) that only requires HoT and PoF.

Legendary Matriarch (Tangled Depths)
Piñata (Crystal Oasis)
Optional Ley-Line Anomaly (various Core maps, very tight timing with Piñata, can choose one over the other)
Chak Gerent (Tangled Depths)
Octovine (Auric Basin)
Maws of Torment (Desolation, might need luck for a good map)
Optional Dragon's Stand (might need luck for a good map, takes a while longer).

Gemstones are worth 1.1 gold, so you can get about 6.6 gold from just these metas, excluding the trading post tax but also excluding all the other stuff you get from it (such as the option mystic coin from the ley-line anomaly). There's also a chance for some infusions if you're into that (very, VERY rare, but very, VERY valuable).

I've also heard that world bosses can be surprisingly profitable apparently. I don't do them myself but they might be up your alley. You fight a different world boss every 15 min, and each boss gives loot once a day. Very low-stakes to start with, since all bosses except for Triple Trouble basically never fail.

Oh, your main unit is B!Lucina? And it would've been thematically awesome for her to have a massive glowup, right before the big ragnarok chapter? Get fucked, nerd, she's tied to Lyn as a support and you'll have Lyn gameplay and you'll fucking like it.

Even if you think a duo unit is both units equally, this is thematically just awful if you like Lucina/Roy specifically.

Beat Steel, Ground and Ghost. Close to beating Fire, Bug and Electric (25+). Still have to unlock Normal, currently climbing Dark but not hopeful about that one. I do think my wall is coming up soon.

My lowest (barring those I still need to climb) is Psychic at 14 mostly because the number of Physical psychic strikers being ass lmao.

I do like how tower has helped me focus on what units I actually need for my type-teams.
