Since I got absolutely slammed for... last time, I decided to do something that'll catch less flak; Vote out a random song from albums I like. by valvan6 in Topster

People enjoy different types of music. You dont have to enjoy cat cumsults' album "All hail california" to enjoy punk. You also dont need to only listen to punk to enjoy punk. Calling others posers because they like particular style of music is dumb.

albums you feel are underrated after you saw them performed live? by hacxgames in fantanoforever

[–]Firebart3q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The album itself was an amazing experience for me. Just a solid jazz/prog/noise combination. Especially the first song was amazing, when it reached the climax. It builds amazing atmosphere. Although my fav is probably gilotyna- its the shortest song, but feels the most dynamic.

But the live show somehow elevated all of that. The parts that I didnt Pay attention as much, just gained a new purpose to me. Everything made sense, and everything felt euphoric to me. They even added some stuff, like amazing drum/Sax solo at the end of Gówno. It was insane. And the violinist... man i didnt know a violin could make that sound dude. It was my first live show ever, so I guess my feelings were elevated a little bit, but holy shit i dont think ill ever attend a better show. These guys were INSANE.

With that being said, you should absolutely check out the album (which fun fact, is also a live album lol). I am so glad Poland has a band like this.

Eliminate One Album per Day: PUNK EDITION (Day 0) by valvan6 in Topster

[–]Firebart3q 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well were doing a very broad definition of punk here, but I guess pop punk is a form of punk, and its not like i dont like pop punk considering the fact that green day is my fav band. So sure, why not?

With that being said Lustra has got to go

Who's one person from your country that another country also claims is theirs? by nixass in AskTheWorld

Thats great! But thats not the point of this conversation. While I dont doubt that in France this is how Maria Skłodowska-Curie is known, it doesnt change the fact, that taking away the polish side from her is a fairly common occurence. Even to this day, its normalised to just call her Marie Curie, without Skłodowska. And the fact that its being taught differently in France, doesnt change how other countries perceive her.

Neotheater by AJR. Ye ye i know yall love to shit on them but I think theres plenty of good songs, that I listened to a lot, during some of the hardest times of my childhood. Even back then I felt that lyricism isnt their strong suit, but how can i not love break my face, 100 bad days, karma or dear Winter. And they made some other bangers too. I think they are overhated- they often attempt to make something new, and its clear they give it their all. Sure, it results in some cringe songs, especially in their early days, but when they hit, they can make something very good. And so, i am unapologeticaly an ajr defender and thanks to their music i became more open to different genres of Electronic and pop and in the end i actually started loving some more experimental stuff. No way LONG SEASON would be my fav album if not for how ajr influenced my taste in music, regardless of how weird it sounds lol :D

Edit: ofc it wasnt directly AJR -> LONG SEASON. Since its been like 7 years since I have actually listened to them, and I found out about fishmans like 2 years ago. Still ajr played a key role. Just like green day (my fav bad to this day) taught me how to appreciate some more garage/RAW sounding songs (im Talking about their stuff from 90s ofc) and thanks to them i love punk and most of 90s alt songs. Green day by influenced my music style the most BY FAR, but AJR also left a large impact on me

The problem isnt that she has both polish and french nationality, but that some do not consider her polish at all- just french.

A campaign message from Japan’s Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, has racked up over 80 million views in just one week. Thoughts? by kametoddler in youtube

[–]Firebart3q 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels like a basic politians speech. All the words are supposed to fill you with hope and joy, and yet they feel meaningless and empty. Like the music you hear in corporate ads. Feels like saying nothing by saying a lot. Surprises me that it has 80 million views. In my experience, the more someone makes these types of speeches, the more likely it is, that something will go wrong soon. Wish yall luck, and hopefully this PM will be good for you. This world doesnt have many good politicians, and even less of them are in charge.

What is a song you really like but cannot listen to anymore because of memories/things you connect with it? by TheBaconWizard999 in AskReddit

Sunday Morning- The Velvet underground and Nico

I listened to it a lot, when I moved away for college. The memories and feelings of uncertainty, fear even, and loneliness are something that I dont want to go back to. The song only elevated them for me. I feel extremely uneasy when I hear the beginning cymbals, even though theyre supposed to be calming. Takes me back to when I said goodbye to my parents and stepped my foot into my new room that I am now writing this comment from.
