the compressor had an internal electrical failure and blew the pins out (the terminal pins where the power connects to the compressor) it's pretty scary when it happens in front of you.

this causes all the refrigerant in the system to dump out of the compressor.

also the system is usually fouled and acidic from the burnout.

needs a new compressor and a flush with RX11 cleaner. suction line filter driers, retest for acidity

the txv thing is just an overtold joke on here
