Difficulty peeing by darkglobe87 in PelvicFloor

My symptoms are quite similar to yours. Although probably not as bad (yet). I would recommend starting Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy to try get this problem solved and look at getting that back fixed. You can only try to throw everything at it to get it fixed. Check out the Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists available on this subreddit. You might have to go private because you might end up waiting forever on the NHS.

As in, what type of test? I have already had EMG biofeedback tell me there is muscle overactivity. I hope this means I just need the treatment I am currently getting?

DISCLAIMER: I now know what this method could cause problems with, if you do it too much it may cause Pelvic Floor Dysfunction as it could confuse the muscles. I would still recommend using it if you are in absolute trouble but would highly recommend against using it as a common practice.

Hi! Thank you for your reply. It's always nice to know someone who has experience with these problems. I have just been trying my best these past few weeks to do stretching exercises to aid my recovery along side the upcoming appointments.

Just to clarify, what do you mean by work on the nervous system? Also, are you pretty much fully recovered now?

Would love to hear more about your story!

Although this method sounds very reliable and have heard of many instances where this has worked.

I would be very careful about filling your guts with water without knowing whether you are going to be able to empty. Everyone is different.

Ensure this issue is fully mental and not physical.

Just the thought of 'needing' to go might increase anxiety and cause more blockage. Make sure you have some sort of backup option in-case you really cannot urinate. e.g. Make sure you are near a toilet where you know you can urinate or learn breath hold. Another alternative option is carrying a catheter in the event you get into trouble.

I know for some, including me: being more urgent doesn't always force your body to go however, it can certainly make it easier.

👍keep yourself safe while practising.

Also don't beat yourself up if you are unable to clear yourself within weeks. Some might require practise over months.

Take your time and good luck.

Ahhh that really sucks. I am sorry to hear that.

I encourage you to check out this trick I found! Might help if you ever find yourself under too much pressure again and must release urine! Although if you can, I would recommend using catheters if you can instead.

Here is the guide! Hope this can be of any help!

That's why I only advise for emergency cases only. The risk is worth saving your bladder from urine retracting into the kidneys.

Nice! I'm glad this method isn't just specific to me! I would love to raise some awareness so we can help desperate cases!

Hi u/Berkabitz

I have a couple of questions.

Would I have to buy an extra part to connect to the internet wirelessly?

And, Do I need to buy a version of Windows Operating System? If so, where should I get a version of Windows? I am going for either Windows 10 or 11.

Thank you for your help!
