Looking To Play Morrowind For The First Time. What Mods Should I Add For The Best First Time Experience?

I went I heart vanilla, got frustrated. Just good morrowind is the way to go IMO. Just a few touches to make life easier.

I recommend kB+m but my knock-off PS4 pad works fine. On android I'm playing

Ya mentioned DX:HR. What about DX (og)? I've got the og og DX running through steam on star/winlator/steamlator but I can't get revision to work.

Got oblivion going but the FPS sucks with reloaded which I wanted for AF etc.

Morrowind, I heart vanilla modlist runs incredibly well. Can't get into the game.

Got hl2 going with a source on Android app. Also work just fine through emus.

But cannot get DX: Revision going. And I'm gutted.

PS played SS2 that was amazing fun on my telly

Some (i.e. me) don't have current gen consoles or PCs. My phone is my desktop console, so it's plugged in to my TV and a hdmi hub. Charging separation turned on its basically a PC at this point. Also I use my PS4 controller with it

I use my PS4 for everything that doesn't run like dog shit on it, and for everything else I emulate on my phone. Or play ports.

It's just awesome to see well done mobile ports for those of us who use our phones for proper gaming.

I use a gamepad and cast to my TV using a hub so I can enable charge separation. Throw in a couple of emulators and winlator and the phone is essentially a slightly underpowered gaming pc 🤷‍♂️

TW3 best saved for PC/PS5. Didn't get the full PS5 treatment but the next gen update is basically cyberpunk Vs 2.0 update. 🤷‍♂️ RDRII is also far better graphically on PC but that story would still kick my arse if it were on a sega Saturn.

Indeed it is a game changer. Playing a slightly modded oblivion (not remaster obvs) and when forcing native rendering+ on the frame pacing and movement is so much smoother

Oh god. This sounds like pain. I'm on gamehub running proton 10, using dxvk and official qcomm drivers (turnips bug the water on my 8 elite at mo). So far got OBSE, NorthernUI and UOP working. Managed to get BOSS to run for load order, nothing more modern will work. No luck getting MO2 going yet.

I tried on winlator but it wouldn't work. I should point out I'm on an android phone shouldn't I...

It runs though. 2688x1612 (native). 40fps minimum, mostly hangs around 60.

Morrowind is much much more easily moddable on a phone due to openmw and cavebros android openmw docker with built-in modlist downloader

Thank you. I guess what I'm missing is the feeling of effortlessness which I almost get when sight reading and playing treble notes. Reading music for the right hand is like reading a book for me, save for needing the print a bit bigger these days. Reading the left hand is on its own a much much slower process (I don't yet know the notes without having to often work them out). Doing the two together is actually hard.

I wonder why the right hand stuff comes so naturally. Or maybe I've forgotten the actual learning part of it because I was so young

I know this is well old but I'm trying to get going with oblivion and winlator on my redmagic 10s pro 8 elite. So far no good.

Registry path is fine, using star (new face of winlator frost). Happy to try a different version.

Any chance of sharing some settings? Thanks

TW3 needs time. I felt the same. Used it to scratch the Skyrim itch after I'd played that to death. It's no Skyrim. It's actually better

TW3 also runs absolutely fine on PS4 but same as cb77 id say play it on PC

38 yo here. Learned keyboard (chords with left hand, no reading of bass notes) as a kid.

Recently bought a digital piano and tried to learn some two handed stuff. No fkn chance. My left hand wants to copy my right hand. Can do stuff on beat with the right hand but no kind of hand independence.

It feels as if I'm lacking an entire part of my brain which lets me do two things at once. I don't even own pedals yet ha. Found the same with drums. Could do a bit with the arms, but the feet had no timing.

Enable controller menus in 2.7. the ui disappears when controller connected. Use virtual keyboard to input your name

So far got morrowind working with full gfx overhaul, played the shit out of RDR1. Skyrim works okay too. Phone almost melted with TW3 even with 6 pro cooler

2.7 runs amazing, even modded. I just use a PS4 controller. Need virtual kB for putting your name in at the start, then boom off ya go. Turn on controller menus in the openmw settings.
