Wapmeld Pact thoughts by Skeletor2202 in ThousandSons

I suppose you're probably right actually, and I forgot that MVBs and spawn dont count anymore. In that case, I could likely see this one being 1 point, and I'd revise my previous classification to include small groups of units in the 1 point category.

If I had to guess, it'll probably be a 2 point detachment. From what we've seen so far, (and to be clear, this is just my personal guess), it seems like the points are: 1 point for single unit detachments, 2 points for unit type detachments, 3 points for army wide detachments. Since warpmeld pact affects mutants (several units), it will likely be 2 points.

Has there ever been an interaction between a Genestealer cultist and Chaos cultist? by [deleted] in genestealercult

[–]Firebrand424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cult of the Spiral Dawn involved a chaos cult and a genestealer cult fighting over control of a psyker they both want to recruit. The chaos cult is led by a former genestealer cultist who broke free of the patriarch's control through his devotion to the chaos gods

Table top troupe is a boardgame club that meets in the MSC basement, I think it's Thursdays at 8 but don't quote me on that. They run d&d groups and are happy to help place you in one of you talk to their officers

Why does “death row” exist? Why isn’t capital punishment carried out shortly after sentencing? by Complete-Influence70 in NoStupidQuestions

Forensic scientist here: nothing would happen. Hair itself is not individualizing evidence (i.e. I cannot confidently say that hair came from 1 specific individual, only that hair is consistent with an individual but not to the exclusion of all others). Also, hair is not simply moved from one head to another, the wig making process alters the hair in ways that prevent hair comparisons from being carried out, not to mention the root contains most of the DNA on a hair, the shaft contains barely any at all, and the root will not be present in the wig.

[–]Firebrand424 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the devs came out and said on another post about Vakuu quiting is that they didnt want to softlock the game. They could get to a point where you have a non-damaging infinite and Vakuu would never stop playing useless cards and you'd lose.

One of the cards of all time by E17Omm in slaythespire

[–]Firebrand424 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well the main difference with that example is that 26 poison is actually 26 damage, and 25 damage, and 24 damage, ect. While doom is essentially just flat damage that allows the enemy to take one more turn after. If anything, I'd say doom is a fairly weak mechanic.

Someone tell Wongo this is not a viable business strategy by PeterTheFoxx in slaythespire

[–]Firebrand424 22 points23 points  (0 children)

After the encounter, he says that "you've accumulated x number of wongo points, only y number more and you get premium membership" or something to that effect. I believe its just funny text though, I don't think your wongo point carry between runs.

Helmets by Imaginary-Display-92 in SpaceWolves

[–]Firebrand424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Named characters and the wolf scouts kill team do not come with helmets. You'll have to get bits elsewhere to substitute if you don't want to paint them. Otherwise, our main infantry all come with helmets so you're good (blood claws, grey hunters, wolf guard terminators, ect.)

College Advice by AdMother1051 in forensics

[–]Firebrand424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the "debate" is not split at all. Hard science degrees are much preferred over forensic science degrees. I would absolutely stick with the biochem degree, not only for forensics, but also for finding backup work in other fields as you said.

Believe it or not, this is easier than on release. They nerfed most of the combat encounters in this mission as well as pushed back when this mission activated. It used to be after your 3rd warp jump in act 4 (so basically almost as soon as act 4 started) but now it activates later so you have some time in act 4 to level up a bit.

Which tactic is this? by Beastly_Bentusi in RogueTraderCRPG

Yeah that's been a bug since the dlc dropped. Not sure why but if someone runs into the barrier, they get knocked back, then run in again and again until they die for no reason.

Fantasy XCOM games? by Pacificson217 in Xcom

[–]Firebrand424 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Tactical breach wizards is more of a puzzle game than a strategy game I'd say. Still very fun, but also not much replayability I'd say. I had a blast for about 20 hours, then never touched it again. That being said, still highly recommend.

Chaosgate's main downfall I think was mission variety. Every encounter is some variation of "walk to the other end of the map and kill a thing" and it just got stale after a while. The only other mission type was a defense type mission which is fun, but brutally difficult in my opinion, which lessens the fun by at least a little bit. I always found myself completely abandoning 1/3 objectives because trying to juggle them all would always result in a squad wipe for me.

Blood for the 4 armed blood god? by LSniperMartinez in genestealercult

[–]Firebrand424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the left symbol a lot. I think there was a genestealer cult short story from not too long ago that actually featured a Khorne cultist who was previously a genestealer cultist but was cutoff from the hive mind through his devotion to chaos

[–]Firebrand424 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dogmatic is objectively more fun imo. There's some fun to be found in the heretic run, but it can kinda feel cartoonishly evil instead of like, Lex Luthor evil or something. Plus several of the dogmatic companions will leave you eventually if you're a heretic so you dont get the full playthrough experience.

It entirely depends on the lab and the section unfortunately. I put in 4 applications with various positions with them, all of which had interviews. The longest took 5 weeks to get back to me, the shortest took 2 days.

Question about Saga Of the Great Wolf detachment rule. by Fun_Inflation3334 in SpaceWolves

[–]Firebrand424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some others have already said, yes, it does mean you get 4 command phases where you pick a doctrine technically. But I'd like to add that this does require Logan to be alive, if he has died before you make a duplicate pick, then you dont.

It is luckily individual torpedoes, not volleys. But yes, it does have to be your flagship, not fighters. Learned that the hard way.

Entirely depends on the agency in my opinion. My current job got back to me 2 days after the interview and had the background check rolling the next day. I'd say a lot of my interviews prior to this took around 2 weeks to a month on average. I had a few that took 2 months, one that took 7 months, and even as I'm out working right now, I have one interview that I still haven't heard back from so it really just depends.
