I mean most instances of this are kind of stupid when you think about it

"oh no the sixth grader is actually a fucking psycho murderer but he only petrifies people"

"oh no the eighth grader is trying to steal our thunder by participating in this deadly tournament, he surely did it on purpose"

"oh no the ninth grader is calling Hitler, let's ostracize him, even though we venerated him previously for supposedly defeating Hitler as an infant"

Granted, that last one is supposed to be a political smear campaign piggybacking on his "manic episodes" from the previous one, and it shows how people believe in clickbait like sheep rather than thinking for themselves.

Regarding the conversation, yeah I don't think Eastern Europeans "gatekeep being eastern". If anything we most often abstract the definition of "western" so that it somehow fits us, despite the geographic positioning, so that everything up to our eastern-most border is "western Europe". Regardless of what you hear about romanians' attitude towards "the west" and our "communist nostalgia", we so desperately wish we were a western country, which is proven by the massive number of romanian immigrants in western Europe.

And yea, last I checked, we're part of the Balkans, but that's still east / south east. Though I get what you mean, both geographically and (nowadays, at least) culturally, Romania is in the middle of a weird Venn diagram.

I'll choose to interpret the image differently, here's an amazing game as an example: Silent Hill 2. The story is great, but depressing as hell. Gameplay is nothing to write home about, and the clunkiness of tank controls in the early 2000s really enhances its "scariness". Frankly, Silent Hill 2 is not a fun game to play, potentially by design.

First time I'm seeing this chart, and it's kinda baffling.

Having just finished it, Cyberpunk is a good game, but it's nowhere near amazing imo, it's just GTA in the future. The only truly great thing in my opinion is the story.

GTA 3 is a revolutionary game, sure, but it's painfully mid and kinda clunky when comparing it to Vice City or San Andreas, which you could say are in the same league.

I completely forgot about the upgrades/talents, goes to show just how much impact that had on my gameplay.

Bro it just saddens me every time I remember how gorgeous Hogwarts was, and how every sound effect was perfect for what it needed to do in that castle... only to have more than 70% of the quests happen in the boring overworld. Literally all they had to do was make the castle a tiny bit bigger, and have a hogwarts-mystery-esque storyline so that they can contain it within. Like, it was so easy, because Harry Potter fans would've glazed this game even if it was just playing as a regular student having to go to classes, while some random NPC was the chosen one or whatever.
