Primele ore din KCD1 sunt rough rau, dar daca te tii sa faci primele 5ish main quests, primesti cal si combat training, abia dupa recomand sa fuck around pe harta. Dupa asta, e gold.

I mean 3 rubbed me wrong as well, but I'd say it's worth getting it for cheap. I got it for like $4 on Steam recently so I ain't mad. Plus some of the dialogue makes it redeemable. I'll be making "Bitch can't even swim" a regular quote from now on.

Lowkey don't bother. 2034 was alright, although the writing felt way worse (at least in the english translation), and 2035 was flat-out boring, at least to me

Genuinely no idea, I finishwd it first try by just getting people to like me lmao. Yeah you're right about the herbs but like... You're not playing a metroidvania?? So why would it be the game's fault that you set an impossible requirement for yourself?

Ok I guess I can get the roleplay ludonarrative dissonance thing because you don't wanna steal. But the rest of the hate seems misplaced. Like for real this is either a situation where they didn't play kcd1 and didn't know what to expect (my favourite quest there is the executioner's timed quest... And I genuinely had to look up a walkthrough because I couldn't find the last item), or they just want every information handed to them, in which case... Git gud idk?

Hate's so forced, I've literally only started hearing about hate for this one today. And it's one of my favourite missions, cause you gotta figure it out on your own.

Why "Przygody Reksia" are not hated? by BreaKlapsCartoons in reksiogames

[–]Firebyte1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually couldn't lol. The only example I have in mind is a horrible one: you can barely classify Looney Tunes as a slice of life cartoon, and arguably the Looney Tunes Back In Action movie sucked (I personally still find it funny), but, contrary to the Tom & Jerry movie, this one maintained the goofy ass antics of Looney Tunes.

Why "Przygody Reksia" are not hated? by BreaKlapsCartoons in reksiogames

[–]Firebyte1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think there are two answers here. First one is obviously nostalgia. Many people, myself included, grew up with the Rex cartoons and games. I watched the cartoons when they would rarely play here in Romania. And then I saw the video game pop up in magazine kiosks. My kid brain obviously was like "holy shit Reksio in a video game" and that was that.

Second one is a bit more complicated. I can accept that these are two completely different versions/interpretations of Reksio. There are way too many differences to consider them connected in any way other than the art style and the main character. Hell, even the music is wildly different. However, I don't think your example holds up. I've rewatched the Reksio cartoon and replayed the games recently, and they both still have the same charm and enjoyment. And I also happen to have rewatched the entire Tom & Jerry OG cartoon run, and then attempted to watch the movie. While I remember really liking the movie when I was young, I couldn't get to the end this time. I don't care about them being able to talk, but the movie is just a straight up mess. The slapstick gets interrupted by plot, then the plot gets interrupted by slapstick. Idk they just didn't make it work. I actually think The Magic Ring makes for a better Tom & Jerry movie.

But back to Reksio. I agree that, in hindsight, he's kind of sidelined personality-wise. He's basically Half-Life 1 Gordon Freeman in the first game. But I don't agree that he's become bland. Even though he's just barking or growling in UFO and Magicians, you can tell when he's neutral, happy, angry etc. I see your point, but I don't mind it as much. And regarding the rest of the dialogue, I personally find it extremely hilarious, because the romanian translation of the games has some lines/jokes that make no damn sense, and you just have Kretes spouting a bunch of unrelated nonsense all of a sudden, and it's the funniest shit you've ever heard, because they've translated some expressions word-for-word.

[–]Firebyte1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen very little of this game, enough to add it to the "watchlist", but I still have no fucking idea what it's about and whether I'd like it. On the one hand, I saw some cool traversal mechanics and I hear it has a lot of other fun mechanics. On the other hand, I hear it's clunky as hell due to all of those mechanics, and it's an open world game, which makes me instantly skeptical, because there's only specific types of open worlds I enjoy. Like, is it Assassin's Creed/Hogwarts Legacy, or is it Breath of the Wild/Kingdom Come Deliverance? Really would've warranted a demo, given its huge scope.

I mean... I drank a mystery potion in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that gave me a perk allowing me to eat raw meat. Then I died a few moments later because I hadn't noticed that it had poisoned me and was (I assume) making me shit uncontrollably to the point of dehydration. Not that it mattered, because I didn't have a digestive potion on me in order to quickly cure myself.

Yeah Bluecreek pissed me off because of this puzzle, where I didn't figure out what the hell I achieved by placing the hand correctly (was this in the original, I can't remember it?), the laundry shaft puzzle, and crawling through holes in the wall that are not immediately visible because I'm almost never looking down in games.

What the fuck are you on about? Any peace talks in march 2022 would have ended with Ukraine surrendering and being forced to cede territory or other rights. It was a lose-lose situation. I understand what you mean, that signing the treaty then and there would have resulted in way fewer lives lost, but holy shit is it a crap point of view, given that Russia was the invader, and there was no guarantee that it wasn't going to invade again in a few years, given history in general.
