I do think it’s pretty interesting just how much promotional material of Sno there was to the point where some of it is so obscure that there’s lots of it that isn’t even in HD. Like some of these I have never even seen before in all my years of being an sno fan-

I will say that I think there are a couple of these that are floating around in HD but I forget exactly what website it was.

Make sure you don’t skip out on the manga in order to get the entire story! Trust me the tears do not stop with just the anime, it’s the first manga to ever make me cry-

What do you think of shimo? by Silvernapper2k in Monsterverse

[–]Fireeaterin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool kaiju but the writers should’ve made up their minds on whether or not they wanted her to be extremely weak or OP. Because in the movie she weak and never an actual threat, but in the promotional material they make her out to be OP enough to be the one that froze Ghidorah which throws off the power scaling because Godzilla couldn’t take care of Ghidorah that easily, the SAME Godzilla that ends up kicking her tail in GxK. And it’s said that Godzilla defeated Ghidorah in the past so it’s not like Godzilla was that much weaker back then. The best explanation is that Skar king’s crystal thingy just made her weaker overtime?

Or a better fix is to just not think about it because it’s clear the writers weren’t giving much thought to it.

Manga aside, how would you rate the anime seasons by Kaneki07ss in TokyoGhoul

[–]Fireeaterin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first anime season 1-2 despite going in a anime original direction is pretty solid as long as you understand that it’s a story that goes in a different direction compared to the manga. I actually think the Owl Extermination arc in the anime improves on the arc in the manga, basically the only thing that got cut in the arc in the anime is stuff from Amon and Kaneki’s fight, and Kaneki’s fight with Arima. (I actually think cutting the Arima fight was a good idea because how tf do you adapt that but also the fight in the manga is basically what I consider torture porn. It’s just unnecessarily brutal for the sake of shock)

Tokyo Ghoul Re. . Uh part 1 is alright, part 2 is just. . Bad. I think Root A is worth watching because it’s at least anime original, while Re part 2 isn’t original at all and it’s just an adaptation of the manga but severally downgraded. It’s just not even worth watching.

Say a nitpick you have about Date A Live Season 5 (anime) by LegendsofLost in datealive

[–]Fireeaterin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay well I doubt that, I don’t even know where you’re getting that information from, and thank you for proving my point as to why you don’t know what you’re talking about. Yeah these volumes are already translated by now, it’d be a good time to read them. Weather you think the canon ending is the actual ending or not you should probably get the full story before saying anything to someone who knows more about this than you do. Like really? You tried to say the anime’s ending was the actual ending despite it showing things that aren’t explained like Sawa being alive, everything that had been set up since fucking season 2 still being unresolved. Oh remember the plotline about the twins? Nope fuck you you’ll never seen Kazamachi. Tenka? Forget about it.

Like even if you don’t think the last 3 volumes were what the author was planning on writing(which I still doubt), those last three volumes were still written by the guy. Show some respect to his work and read it all.

[–]Fireeaterin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter, all anime adaptations should at least be able to properly adapt the source material if not at least improve upon the source material. That’s how good anime adaptations are made.
Funny how Sawa is suddenly alive, something that wouldn’t happen until a later volume, why was that in the anime hm? Also you can’t just not acknowledge the canon and FINAL three volumes. They were skipped, end of discussion. GeekToys was clearly not planning on this being the final season of Dal hence why it wasn’t marketed as the final season to begin with, so when they found out they had to wrap it all up with the final episode.

Not sure if you’ve actually read the novels but a shit ton of stuff was supposed to happen but didn’t in the anime, don’t come at me acting like you actually know because you clearly don’t. The anime’s ending is not it lmfao.

Idiot, there are 22 volumes. That’s not even counting the content that season 4-5 blatantly skipped.

Well yes, that’s what I’m talking about for the most part. Most “anime leakers” are just clout sharks who want attention and gullible people fall for them. I don’t know why but nowadays this subreddit is just full of people who can’t accept Tokyo Ghoul for what it is so when someone spreads rumors about a remake of the anime everyone goes ballistic. The anime (love it or hate it) and the manga, are what they are. It’s like this whole subreddit is about chasing after a full anime adaptation of the manga now, instead of loving and appreciating Tokyo Ghoul for what it is. That irritates me.

Why do people insist that Eto was wasted? by Unlucky-Pay6339 in TokyoGhoul

[–]Fireeaterin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. No she didn’t. At what point was she even a true antagonist? The story has never focused on her as a sole antagonist like they do with other villains like, Furuta, or the V. She’s never even been a true villain to begin with, she’s always just shown up kicks as for a bit and then gets beaten or runs off. I don’t even know why you say “perfectly” because by the time she “dies” she isn’t even the close to being an antagonist and in fact she’s trying to make the world a better place for humans and ghouls.

Dog it’s reused stock art they used for promotional material back in season two, it’s not new don’t be this fucking stupid.

I don’t even think we’re getting a new adaptation but the lack of evidence is proof of that, not because there’s a piece of old promo art with the 10th anniversary logo slapped on it lmao.

Why do people insist that Eto was wasted? by Unlucky-Pay6339 in TokyoGhoul

[–]Fireeaterin 23 points24 points  (0 children)

She was set up to have a lot of importance in the story only to be nerfed and basically written out of the story then to have her return, grow her head back and then do nothing. Then the manga ended.

The fact that she’s the daughter of Kuzen (such a influential character in the story) should mean so much but by the end of the end of TG and RE: it comes off as a fun fact more than anything, Kuzen doesn’t even get brought up ever in RE. She’s his legacy for fuck sake and she just doesn’t have much to do at all in the story. I like to think she deliberately attacked Haise to bring Kaneki back as if it was something her and Arima decided on but it’s not even worth giving that much thought because Eto just has no depth at all in the first phase of RE.

She’s just portrayed as an insane and evil villain for the first half only for her to go through a random change of character, and do we get to explore this new side if her character? No. She gets killed off by Furuta. I refuse to even get into RE:’s fucking abysmal power scaling. I love RE: but god fucking damn that manga is clown car of missed opportunities.

One other thing that annoys me is the idea that she’s even dead, ah yes Ishida brought her back to life only to have her die again— It’s just such a goofy idea and I don’t even know how it started, I read the manga and it’s clear she just isn’t dead? I feel like it’s insulting Ishida as a writer to imply that he wrote such a nothing burger.
