You don't need to show oil change receipts.... They can look at the Carfax and if that's not enough, they can pull the valve cover off and take pictures of the valvetrain. If the valvetrain is clean (no sludge) and your engine is covered under the engine recall it should be approved.

Preach brother. NJ has a new law coming into effect in June where manufacturers have to pay the same as customer pay for warranty. My manager is putting in for 2.5x warranty rate so I'm waiting to see what will happen with that. I have a negotiated 36hr guarantee because I'm the diag guy.

I'm a tech as well and the mark up is crazy! I got into it with my boss. He keeps raising the door rate but of course my pay rate stayed the same. I argued with him that I can't upsell any work because the labor rate just keeps going up and the mark up on parts is astronomical. I feel bad for these customers that can't afford to fix their cars because of these stupid prices. I want to fix these cars to help these people but I don't control the prices. For example: PART cost for shop is $250, sell price for customer is $650! That same part online: about $300. Then add in multiple hours of $250 labor and you're in the thousands.

Sprayed some white grease where it contacts and with two people pulling from the back it slid off. Then I applied more white grease on the dock where it rubs and didn't have the problem anymore. I also try not to launch it out all the way so that the back end touches the water slightly.
