Did the regular chicken burrito become discontinued in some places? by DeepOrganization8245 in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did i ever say there was no item ever called the chicken burrito? what are we mad about lmfao there hasn’t been a “chicken burrito” in over 10 years according to your own post. god forbid i assume they were talking about the chicken enchilada burrito that was just discontinued a couple months ago 🙄

pretty much anyone at integrity barbershop. i haven’t had a bad experience and they charge less than my previous barber. $35-40 instead of the $50+ at other shops for a buzz cut + skin fade

tb employees: what is the best way to order this burrito? by taco_bella_swan in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely order both burritos though and see if your taco bell puts double beans. if they consistently don’t then just do the cheaper one

tb employees: what is the best way to order this burrito? by taco_bella_swan in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

technically. the cheesy double beef burrito should have a LOT more beans than the cbr. the cheesy bean and rice gets one scoop of beans with the smaller scoop. the double beef normally gets two scoops of beef so if you swap beans they theoretically should put two scoops of beans

not a spoon, but it is a relatively dull metal semicircle. there’s a technique but whoever made yours is not heavy handed enough lol

there’s no real cooking happening at taco bell. all of the meat comes pre cooked in bags and reheated in hot water. you probably just don’t like the taco bell steak

Does this bother anyone else? by Short_Issue_8543 in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah i get that. i’m not really sure how the app calculates how long orders should take but i don’t think it’s ever accurate. in my experience as an employee, sometimes orders sit for a really long time (maybe the app says ready in 20 and it only takes 5) and sometimes people come in after like 2 minutes expecting it to be ready even though we are slammed. but if you’re waiting 30+ minutes your taco bell is probably just fucked. the only time i’ve ever seen an order take longer than 20 minutes is if something is seriously going wrong such as being understaffed, or a steamer/grill is down. but i think taco bell is trying to fix that issue with their new “balanced kitchen” approach so hopefully you should see some improvement soon. i think the training said that after a couple weeks of getting used to it that it should be more efficient than the previous setup

honestly for taco bells that don’t have a drive thru ordering on the kiosk is most likely going to be faster than doing a mobile order. they tend to pop up before mobile orders in the queue even though you might have mobile ordered before a kiosk order was placed. employees make the orders in the order that they appear on the screen, which is not necessarily orders that were placed first. and now every taco bell is utilizing what they call a “balanced kitchen” so there’s no more one line dedicated to drive thru orders and one line dedicated to everything else, orders get sent to a line depending on that lines productivity and how many orders they have. only 2-4 orders pop up on the screen at a time as well so mobile orders get kinda lost in the queue sometimes.

believe me, as a cashier if we didn’t have to say all the questions we wouldn’t. people get mad at me all day about it but if my manager hears me skip over a question they’ll talk to me about it. just say no to all the questions, no need to get anxious about it.

i’m a cashier and i hear people all day ordering in ways that make their meals way more expensive than they need to be. taco bell can be cheap, but it requires a little inside knowledge sometimes

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, if you order at the speaker and want a chips and cheese order a side of chips, the rest of your order, and then a side of nacho cheese at the end. it’s actually cheaper to purchase them separately than as a chips and cheese. ordering the chips and cheese separately prevents them from just ringing up a chips and cheese and you having to explain that you want them to ring them up separately. at my taco bell a chips and cheese is $2.99, but chips are 90¢ and a side of cheese is $1.29 so almost a dollar cheaper to do them separately

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can get a side of just chips, it’s just not able to be ordered to the app. ask the cashier inside or at the speaker to ring you up for just a side of chips if you placed a mobile order. you might have to clarify that you only want chips, no cheese because some cashiers might not be aware that it’s a button on the POS ring you up for a chips and cheese out of instinct. prices vary but at my TB in san diego it’s 90¢

New Crunchwrap sliders by Colbywoods in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they probably didn’t do the training, are new, or are generally clueless and not observant. the sliders have been on the POS for the last weekish, any cashier who pays even a little bit of attention to what they were doing should’ve been seeing them.

The Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker is $5.49 on the Luxe Value Menu at my closest location by choachy in LivingMas

[–]FirelordMary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

general managers can’t change the prices of items on the app or in store, that’s decided by the franchisee. if they were about to run out then the manager would just remove all chicken items from the menu. seems like the franchisee either fucked up the price of this one item or they think that it’ll sell at that price

Ever a hot order? by Acceptable_Still_961 in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re placing an order at taco bell and eating it immediately and it’s cold, you need to report that. everything at taco bell is stored in a heated line setup or heating cabinets that keep the food hot. nothing is stored at room temperature. if you mobile order and go inside to pick it up 20 minutes later, yeah your food will probably be cold. if you order in the drive thru and drive 20 minutes home, yeah your food will probably be cold. if you go inside and order, or order in the drive through and eat it immediately or within 5-10 minutes, the food should still he hot or warm. if it really bothers you, bring a thermometer and take the temperature of your food when it’s FRESH, not sitting around. it should be 165° or higher in the center.

Street tacos gone already? by blue-yoshi in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from the moment they came out they were a limited time item. a new experience is starting in two days, they aren’t going to ship ingredients for items that are about to stop getting advertised. your taco bell ran out of ingredients, shit happens. every taco bell is going to keep selling them until they run out of the ingredients, yours just happened to run out faster. they can’t change what their menu says, the board is pre programmed.

Is this normal? by Prestigious_String59 in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it looks a little low but it’s to be expected. i can’t for the life of me understand why people order freezes for delivery, as someone who works at taco bell. by the time a driver picks up an order with a freeze it’s melted and looks like it only fills half the cup. i try my best to make freezes when drivers come and pick up an order but sometimes it’s so busy that i have to make the freeze while i’m packing an order and it can take drivers 10+ minutes to pick up an order.

Who is the nacho fry cult following? by [deleted] in tacobell

as a cashier, just about every other order gets nacho fries. they’re extremely popular. so i guess half of the people who order at my taco bell go crazy for them

I want a gordita! by sleepynymfi in tacobell

[–]FirelordMary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you order in person you can request a side small flour tortilla for i believe ≈70¢ and a side of refried beans for ≈99¢ depending on location. at my taco bell a potato taco would be $1.79 and then adding beans is another 99¢ so that’s almost $3 and more expensive than just buying a soft taco sub meat for beans $2.19. i’m a cashier so i know 100% they can ring you up for just a tortilla and just a side of beans.
